You guys have any suggestions on how I can install the transbrake and bump buttons on the truck? I'm looking to keep my factory steering wheel and I don't want to put a floor shifter either? I'm cleaning all my wiring up while the motor is pulled so I figured I'd go ahead and get all that wired up while I'm at it but can't figure out where to mount the buttoms.

Can you mount them on the column shift lever ? That's where I mounted my scramble button for boost control. Mines ugly but I think my buddy used a nitrous button on his column shifter which looked clean , not sure it would work for you

I was thinking of using my over drive button for the bump but that still leaves me with the transbrake button I bought. My buddy told me drill a hole in the steering wheel. Idk how comfortable I feel doing that thought.

Not sure about that either, if there on the wheel you have to worry about winding up the wire . If you have existing buttons on the wheel (factory) I suppose you could repurpose them by opening up the harness. You have an OD button or tow/haul? On the end of the shifter? Just thinking about this I suppose you could maybe use the washer fluid switch? And add a dash mounted switch for that ? Don't know, just thinking

yeh the tow/haul is what i mean and my only concern was i feel like i need the transbrake to be on the steering wheel. I at least need one hand to be on the steering wheel while I'm getting ready to launch the hell out of it. If I use tow haul and washer fluid then what's holding the wheel?

Sorry, I was just throwing out ideas . I've only every foot braked . Could a floor mounted button be left foot activated ? Maybe with an arming switch to prevent accidental activation during street driving ? Again, just ideas , no experience in this area

all good man, maybe so. I'll come up with something. I'm not sure what yet. I just really want to get everything wired up before I put the motor back in.

I know you want to keep the factory steering wheel but for what you're doing you really should look at an aftermarket option that would allow you to keep your hands where they need to be.
The Motion Raceworks steering wheels are very nice and can accommodate several buttons in several different configurations, plus they look cool.

10-4 I'll give them a call and see what kind of options they have for my truck.

you should wire your bump into the horn like we used to do with nitrous kits lol. I’m laughing just thinking about you honking over and over again as you bump into the beams.
