FI people who are running the GMPP single plane intake, what are the advantages/disadvantages of running this intake on a FI setup? Better flow? Better distribution? Do you have pics of your setups?
Thanks, Shawn

The GMPP will flow a lot of air and thats what you want with a forced induction car
The GMPP worked just fine on my old n/a car - no complaints whatsoever except some funky distribution that was handled by trimming the individual injectors with the DFI but harlan hasnt hasnt had any distribution problems with his under boost as far as I know. If I was doing a high horsepower FI car I would use one without a doubt.

Basically it's the cheap alternative to using a sheetmetal "box" plenum design, much like a manifold you'd see on a pro stock or GM DRCE block. The overall basic appearance of the GMPP single plane looks like a NASCAR "spyder" SB2.2 intake manifold, and if that can keep up with a 4 bbl @ 10k RPM, I'm sure these will flow pretty darn good with some #s on top of them and not as much RPM.

That argument is basically center feed intakes vs. front fed intakes and the distance that the air has to travel from the TB to the valve via the intake plenum/runner combination.
Center feed intakes are obviously going to distribute better than an intake with the TB on teh front

https://ls1tech.com/forums/lsx-parts-sale/282822-custom-ls1-efi-intake-manifold-w-elbow-fuel-rails.html
I was looking for it today also and found it.
Not a bad price....
Intake & fuel rails only: $475
Elbow only : $175
and a Ford 105mm TB for $300..... Thats cheap....

not a bad deal, if you already have a aftermarket TB and fuel rails.
I talked to them, they said that the LS1Speed rails I had would work, and I currently have a BBK TB, so I could upgrade in the future to a 90 or larger with the same elbow from them.
Seems like a great deal.
I wish the spending on this car would stop. LOL everytime I come on here I find one more thing to spend cash on

I'd think the only really pain in the *** part about it would be drilling the manifold. Other than that it's just cutting the right thickness sheetmetal to size, drilling a few holes in a flange, and welding it up. Granted, it might not be worth the hassle if someone else does it though.

For boost gauge, BOV and wastegates 69? Makes sense.

BOV, Wategate, Fuel pressure regulator, Brakes, MAP sensor, there are alot of things that get plugged into that manifold that you dont really think about.
Luckily we dont have anywhere near as many as ford motors, there are damn near a million it seems on ford products.
