Default Fog Lights and FMIC, can they work together?

Im getting a STS and FMIC installed right now and the support that holds up the fog lights has to be cut away to make room for the FMIC, has anybody been able to still have the fog lights supported some other way so i can still have them and the FMIC.

does anybody have pics w/o the foglights?

thanks

Our fmic on our single turbo setup keeps the foglights. Check out the pics on the site.

This can be done. PIAA has some very thin fog lights/driving lights that look like stock from the front but are very thin from the sides. You might have to fab up brackets. But it can be done. Also there will be less airflow to the FMIC.

We usually try and get the intercooler as far forward in the nose as possible. You can change the brackets some and do a little fabricating and keep the lights. The intercooler can be recessed back between the remaining parts of the bumper support.

That's how I did it... And I could put the plate back on... and I have an extra plate that's been made into a grill with black mesh. It can be done... Totally depends on the size of the intercooler, of course.

SJH here on the board made brackets to mount the fog lights up, they sit a lil further towards the front of the hole in the bumper, but they still fit.

We retain the factory fog lights for the T/A's all the time when we do them.

The fog light brackets had to be fabbed. It's been too long to remember exactly what was done. The hardest part was getting them centered properly before reinstalling the nose. The license plate cover screen was from a black mesh trash can from Staples.

Well, I wish I knew!

My installer is still waiting on a scavenger pump that was ordered before they finish it off on the dyno. 500 rwhp at 7-9 psi. is the goal through a Spec 3 and Moser 12-bolt w. 3.73's. It was supposed to be done by now, so I expect to make a trip to Tampa in the next couple of days. You're in Miami?

Well, I followed your advice and I'm happy with how it looks (kudos to Revxtreme). Thanks again.

With the right size intercooler, no serious fabbing needs to be done, too. Your intercooler is way bigger than mine.

looks like they are going to take out the windshield wiper fluid resavoir to make more room, which i dont care about, less weight up front :-)
so they should be able to get it to work,
my only concern is getting enough air to the intercooler while having foglights and still having the license plate on, i just got a fix it ticket. Will it be that much of a problem with the foglights in and the license plate in also?

id like to see some more pics and some pics w/o the fog lights

thanks everybody!!
