Try the SEARCH!!! There has been a lot of discussion about this, and one lengthy thread.

In your collector - if you go too far away you do not get timely AFR feedback to the motor.

First off, ditch the cats if you can.

You can mount the 02 bung in the exhaust pipe that comes out of the turbo. Not the pressure side, as that will screw up the lambda reading. Also, try to mount it at either 3 or 9 o'clock on the pipe.

Nope, it should read fine. I just prefer to elim the cats if you can so they dont get too hot and start to break down inside. Just mount it on that exhaust pipe and you'll be good to go.

You want him to mount the WBO2 at the rear of the car? Is he still keeping the regular O2 sensors up near the motor? If so, I understand now what you're doing.

Also, I thought this was obvious, but try to place the sensor not too close to the outlet. You dont have to have it directly after the turbo, but somewhere close can't hurt for a possibly more accurate reading. But at WOT, there is so much airflow that you probably wouldnt tell anyway.

I first thought you were running a WBO2 sensor straight to the EMS for mixture feedback. Then I wised up and realized this is a add-on for a gauge. No worries... Sometimes I assume and I am often wrong when I do.

I would think the y-pipe junction would work fine. Nothing happens in the turbo to change oxygen content.

The Wide Band MUST be after the turbo. Cats don't really affect the reading. It is fine to have it mounted in the back of the car. That's where mine is on my truck.

The wide band has to be after the turbo? Why cant it be where the y pipe comes into one?

RE-READ MY first post above:
"Not the pressure side, as that will screw up the lambda reading. "

Incase you didn't understand, the pressure side is every part of the exhaust that is BEFORE the turbo. That is, all the way from the engine to where the exhaust hooks INTO the turbo. There is actually pressure in there that is comparable to the psi you see in the intake.

If you mount the sensor there, it will undergo extreme pressure/heat which will screw up the reading and possibly ruin the sensor.

It is not rocket science. JUST MOUNT IT AFTER THE TURBO. Like TIM Z said, 8 inches after is a decent spot.

I tried putting my WBO2 in the y-pipe using the old bungs for the secondary O2 sensors (I have no Cats) as a temporary/easy setup. The readings were complete garbage except at idle. It has to go in the tail pipe after the turbo. You'll probably have to extend some wires like me too.
