Try the stock GM gaskets. I think you will be happy.

I agree. The stock metal layered gaskets are hard to beat.

Probably, but a turbo to me is more fun.

The goal was a Turbo charged car with something different, not head cam.
I bought a used STS kit, did an intercooler.... a while down the road did a cam, did some minor tweaking and upgrades. enhanced the engines breathing capability. Cleaned some things up, and now I'm preparing to head back to the dyno, see my power level, do some tweaking, bump to 7psi, see if the 60mm turbo is holding me back, decide to upgrade or not.

I do agree that a head & cam setup car can make what I made turbo'd by bolting on my kit, hell a buddy of mine makes 474HP and 437 TQ on a head & cam car. But there is nothing like that turbo spooling up and it pushing you into the seat

Sure, my car may not run down the track many times, nor do I really have the experience to probably get it to its true times, but god is it fun to drive and sport around.

~6.5 psi and made 453HP and 472TQ !!! I guessed around 460-480 (obviously hoping for higher), but now with the new cam it loves boost. The power increase per PSI is nuts...

this 60mm IS carrying me to 500 crank HP & TQ (*assuming a 10% loss); You will see that this graph has a lower HP, we were playing around with the tune, and found out my rear main seal was leaking so we quit, and this is where she was left.

I will post graph tomorrow, got to order some parts for some upgrades!!
-transmission & clutch & rear main seal (fixed crankcase breather problem...but seal was still leaking, so replacing), new wastegate spring....etc

How many ft of the coolant hose did you need to go under the axle? Did you just zip tie it? Also what size is the charge outlet on the 60mm?

I don't think he is talking about the oil return, as I used a truck radiator coolant hose to go out of my turbo to the first LONG STS chassis pipe. As far as I know you have to buy it in a 3ft section... I could be wrong.

The STS piping is 2.5 i believe...maybe smaller..... mine flares out back and forth, I want to say that it is 2.5 also though.

What size turbo and power plans do you have?

I'm almost positive it's 2.25 I just bought oval tubing to replace the stock STS tubing that runs along the subframes and the ends are 2.25 circular.

im about to install my STS 67mm kit. i talked to chris @STS he says the intercooler kits they sell come with 3" piping that. so i bought an intercooler and piping kit off ebay that has 3" pipes and the fmic is 31x12x3.. worst case scenario ill get couplers that go down to 2.5 or 2.25 to fit

its fixed now, we know why we are/were leaking out the rear.

I upgraded to the new ls6 valley cover w/breather
one valve cover breathes through a breather
then from the intake manifold to the valley it is a one way valve ,which was a stock one but is now a LPE one way valve good to 15psi. and we have it set the right way.

yea i saw a copy of those instructions. that a load of crap they are. apparently theres another set, an actual full set floating around somewhere. i've got a shop in nj the guy said he's trying to get his hands on. an oil pump should be easy power ground and a remote to turn it on and it just runs. wtf? i was thinking ball bearing and not needing to oil it so much

I have the STS manual, however I think STS has made a new one, as they have changed the kit and made some changes.

if anyone needs it, I can email it, but please be patient, it is 4 rar files and they are 2mb each....email sucks these days... what happend to sending 5mb emails quick, lol.

3 parts? Should have 2 wires for two terminals, and a IN and OUT with brass fittings or stainless.
