EEEEEWWWW...don't like that look....

If anyone is curious, pictures taken with Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28

Also, I consider myself lucky to have made 453HP with 7psi with this dinky 60mm turbo... do the math, my brake specific fuel consumption is 0.61 holding to other variables constant. 18% losses through car to rear tires...damn it made some power for a short time.

also to add to the motor... the ring-lands when we pulled the pistons out, some fell apart... coolant obviously got to cylinder 7 & eventually was also getting throughout the rest of the motor along with being in the oil pan.

good ol' milky frothiness, lol.

The good news is the BLOCK is ok & sleeves are ok. Crank is ok. SO...its build-able.

Forced Inductions, thank you!
And two local shops by Mooresville Drag strip, thank you!

Upgrades

PUURDAY!!!

TC76 from Jose @ Forced Inductions. Awesome packaging & looks awesome.
This oughta not choke the motor!!! wonder what 12psi will make............

I'm going to clean the outer part of the exhaust side & spray it with the silver ceramic spray. Hope to receive the exhaust manifolds & flanges from Josh @ Kentucky Turbo & Performance by Friday...maybe, its gonna cut it close; and hope to clean those & silver ceramic coat them over the weekend (Will take pics as usual)

Heading back to the shop this Friday to check to see if my motor has come back & talk the shop guys some more about what I'm getting done & details.

What kind of pressure you going to run with the new turbo? I'm running 12 lb with the new engine. I studded the heads, which is a bit of overkill, but should prevent the heads from lifting.
Got that dual pump system yet? I'm told it is first rate, by the man himself.

I still have my 38mm wastegate, Jose@FI told me that if I get boost creep I should upgrade, but he thinks I should be fine. I still have all the springs for that also.. 5, 8.7, 11.7psi So I will run ~12psi

Instead of that dual system, I had the shop install their setup which costs the same & could be done right then & there. It is basically the same thing, dual 255 pumps.

Also studded the heads good insurance. Also installed other reinforcement parts in various places

Stevo,

The fuel system is one 255 and one Bosch 044 Pump, which is external.

starting exhaust....

BEFORE COATING

COATED

INJECTOR DYNAMICS 69#

Rear end will be here this week. Finalizing the turbo & fittings & such. Motor is in, transmission is in. Driveshaft will be made shortly. Injectors will get installed.

I'm coating my exhaust side of the turbo with the same thing I coated my manifolds with and then I will also have my y-pipe this Friday.

I'm guessing she may be done ~1st week of March....possibly 2nd week. Get a good tune in it, take her out and put some miles around town on her, check everything & drive home to re-wrap the exhaust.

LOL, already done. That was a picture during construction. We also put a metal heat shield around it. After tearing it all down, it has been fine, no appearance of melting at all and that was a LONG time ago.

Stevo,

Got your message on Friday. Bob and I will have the backing plates off in the morning, so that they can get installed on the new rearend. Everything is finally starting to come together and look good. Give me a call at the shop tomorrow to discuss a few things.
