Default Wastegate Vacuum Tubing-What are you guys using?

I'm about to plumb the lines but I got to thinking, "Doesn't this wastegate get damned hot for typical vacuum line tubing of the sort you would use up on top of the intake manifold?". Are you guys using 'normal' vaccum line that you can get at any automotive store or are you using a silicone version of some type?

I use air line from a truck shop. It is D.O.T. approved for air brakes and airbag suspensions.

Air line? What does that look like? Do you have a picture or link of it somewhere? THanks for the response. Another guy was telling me you can get silicone tubing at medical supply stores by the foot. I'm checking all my options.

I "think" I just use the low pressure fuel hose from Napa.

Just use a goodyear vac hose from NAPA , depending on the barb sizes you can do 5/32 or 1/4.

I don't have any pics of the tubing. It is usually black and is flexible but stiff. It is fairly thinwall, but very tough. You can get in in several sizes. Check your local heavy truck parts store.

I used 3/8 fuel line for the vac/breather routing and 1/4 also fuel line for the boost/vac reference lines.

I guess I'm the only one using the regular vacuum line. Never had any problems with heat/pressure and I don't use clamps either.

I use -4 line as well, the last thing you want to do is have a WG line crack.

I have seen people crack WG lines and blow their engines because the boost goes through the roof.

Thanks everyone. I stopped by a local speed shop for a Crank Bolt for my LT1 and they actually had some silicone vacuum lines. I also picked up a AutoMeter Boost Gauge while I was there...
