Default need info on rebuild kit for 10 bolt

rebuilding my 10 bolt right now, but all the rebuild kits I can find online are only for 10 bolts up to 1998,...I know its a 3 series 7.5 10 bolt, my car is a 02 m6, my question is what is the difference between the 99-02 10 bolts vs. the 98 and older ones.. im looking at kits that come with all bearings and seals from the wheel bearings to the center section bearings (pinion and carrier.... any info is appreciated

NO DIFFERENCE ! GM 7.5/7.625 Same.
You would have a Torsen carrier which started in 1999,has no effect on internal rebuild parts.
Only part for concern is the pinion yoke seal. there was a changeover about 1999/2000 that required a different seal. There are a few threads concerning that.

early early 80s had one different pinion bearing, then around late 2000 they changed pinion seal/yoke diameter. Those are literally THE only two differences i know of. I have no clue why they have let those application errors persist for so long without correcting them. Kits come with the earlier style seal. Ive only had to purchase the new one for one or two 10 bolts. Buddy recently showed me the auto parts stores were showing the same part number for all year fbodys which is also not correct.

because they don't care.
The rebuild kits should show a separate kit for 2nd design seals. I haven't checked so I don't know if they do.
but even the 2000s' are screwed because of a mid-stream design change. I doubt if anyone can cross reference a VIN number for the proper seal.

Drive with moderation ! The little 10 bolts are prone to problems when behind an M6.
