Can anyone give me the GM part # for 3.73 ring & pinion gear set for the 4th gen. F body cars. I have the 3.23 gearset now. Believe it's a Torsen series 3 carrier. I'm looking for genuine GM gears. Thanks. WJ.

Thanks. I'll post up the price here in New England after I finish picking myself up off the floor! Is this # crossed from S-10 parts? WJ.

It's from the GM Performance Parts catalog.
From www.gmpartsdirect.com
List - 592.88
Their price - 337.83 + 17 shipping.
I got a NIB set + Ratech full install kit + Ratech solid collar for 320 shipped off the LS1.com classifieds about a month ago.

My "big discount" dealer here in Ma. just quoted me: $459.37 Guess the performance parts catalog's the place to go.... Anyone else care to comment? Thanks. WJ.

www.gmpartsdirect.com is not the GM Preformance Parts catalog. You can buy any GM part from them cheaper than any dealer. You have to watch the shipping charges though, sometimes they rip you on shipping. I have heard their customer service is bad and you cannot contact them by phone, only e mail. I can buy for cost + 10% at my dealer and sometimes the price gmpartsdirect sells for is below what my dealer says their cost is. You asked where I got the #. The GMPP catalog lists GM 3.73's and GM 4.10's for the 7.5 and 7.625 rear ends.

Hey 2xLS-1: Thanks very much for the help! God, you think you're old--I'm 56--but boy do these cars make you feel like a kid!! You aren't selling those things are you? Thanks again, Glen.
