you can jack up the rearend from the bottom yes. I suggest getting a small block of wood and use a paddle bit to recess an area for clearing the drain plug.

We use aluminum CNC custom machined on all our suspension parts.

I cut a 1/4" plate, made a hole for the plug and welded it on so now the plug is flush. Before this my jack started to bend the bottom plate of the housing. The plate makes it totally rock solid and would make an excellent cheap addition to an already excellent product.

^ How was your jack bending the housing? Was it just small dents or something?

What oil is everybody running after the break-in? Is everybody going to a synthetic or is anybody sticking with the Lucas 80/90?

I used regular old Valvoline 80/90 with 2 bottles of the ford additive. I also have the billet clutch posi though.

I thought MWC in this thread said only 1 bottle after break in? I bought 3, 2 for break in and 1 for after.

They told me to use 80-90 non synthetic but after the break in you can switch if you want too.

Also I dont know if anyone else had this problem but I could not for the life of me get my tsp y pipe to fit through the cross member piece off the ds safety loop. I ordered a pacesetter y and it fits like a glove now.

The plug protruding from the bottom just got in the way of the jack pad. When I placed the plug in the middle of the jack pad, the thin metal on the bottom just started to give.

If one simply had a 2/x block with a hole cut of the plug to go between the jack and the rear, that would work fine. Or even better, the 1/4" plate welded as shown and now the plug is flush.

Weld a jacking pad on the bottom. When I installed one of Erics 9", I did the same thing, centering tubing over the drain plug. To remove the drain plug, put an extension on the rachet.

MWC housing with jacking puck.
