It seems the 2011 Mustang Gt's performance was "Inflated" vs 2010 Camaro

I've seen vids and test after test that show the mustang running everything from a 12.7 to 13.3 so you have your pic of which test you wanna stand behind. My guess is the chevy guys will go with the slower one and the mustang guys on there board will go with the faster one. Bottom line this GT will be a force to be reckoned with so down play it at your own risk. The real test will come once they hit the street. If Ford price'm like they say they will my guess is you will see a ton of them.

Even the optional tires are not good enough IMO. 255's are just not enough to put down 412 hp on a launch, although I do understand that they are going for an overall balance with these tires. I just think the GT would be better off if they'd offered (at least as an option) some 275's out back. Of course, these tires are only a point of contention to ppl who are obsessing over factory stock 1/4 mile times. If I intended to bring my 5.0 to the track regularly, it would be with some proper DR's out back.

Man, I didn't realize the tires were so wimpy. I'd swap those in two seconds. Their height makes them kind of odd though (27" tall), but that is like a free gear swap if you go with 26" tires which are way cheaper and more plentiful. Replacing the 29" tall tires on the Camaro with 26's is too much.

Evolution performance just dynoed the mustang with some bolt ons.
Off-road x-pipe, catback exhaust, k&n drop in air filter, and a custom tune they are still working on it made 405rwhp and 375trq on a mustang dyno.

They have factory mid-length/shorty headers, and they also say it's just a drop in K&N filter with a stock intake.

My motor trend came today and they are saying 12.8@110.8 0-60 4.3 that's a 6spd with opt. 3.73 (only $395). Even more amazing is the 6cyl? 0-60 in 5.1 and 13.7 @102... For $22k 13.7 in a 6cyl Mustang is pretty damn good. And the 6cyl has the same trans', both auto and manual, as the GT. Throw 125 shot on the 6cyl costs you what? and you're running mid 12's. Bargain of the century..

2011 Mustang quicker than the 2010 Camaro SS??? Edmund's begs to differ.
2011 Mustang GT: 1/4-mile (sec. @ mph) 13.3 @ 107.3
2010 Camaro SS: 1/4-mile (sec. @ mph) 13.1 @ 110.4
