It seems the 2011 Mustang Gt's performance was "Inflated" vs 2010 Camaro

I wonder how it would effect the 2010's ergonomics and feel? It may be a little tricky to get one just right if you still want a daily driver.
I would also think this would be rather costly at this point in the game and quality would probably be an issue with the early units.
Done right I think the SRA would be better for the strip do doubt...but street/strip daily driver im not sure its the best option right now all things considered.

i could be wrong but i thought i heard or read this car was designed with an SRA conversion in mind.
either way. this isnt anything new and someone will figure it out.

LOL Wrong they are very successful at marketing their ability to make Mustangs go fast and they are one of the top two or three tuner shops out there . Making the 2011 go fast will make a lot of money for them just like building very fast Shelbys has. But you probably already know that owning a modded Cobra. Very nice looking Cobra BTW

12.6 Stock. Looks like the different magazines were testing different cars. I'm willing to bet the magazine's were getting 3 different axle ratio's in the test cars from ford. That's why the performance was all over the place. I've seen test results from 13.4 to 12.8. If a car got to a tester with the NAV, Leather, Premium sound, 19"wheels, ect, and the 3.31 axle, I bet it would run a 13.4.
If it comes from ford just as a base car with 3.73 axle, That's probably where the high 12's are comming from.
Crazy thing about this car is there is a 1/2 second difference between factory options and you never know which one you're racing untill it's too late.

That camaro is a stall away from easy elevens. Is a cam considered simple bolt-on though? I would say once you crack the motor open or separate the engine and tranny, you've gone past simple bolt-on's. That mustang had a different clutch. Was that necessary, or just insurance? This is going to be a lot of fun.

I am partial to GMs but I have to say that I love the new Ponycar wars! GM pushed Ford when the brought back the Camaro, and it looks like Ford has done an excellent job of pushing back!
Seriously, we all win when they go fist-to-cuffs like this....the cars keep getting better and the hp keeps on rising.
Only one thing I am worried about - when will history repeat like in the mid-70s and the only new Camaro and Mustang out there is a hybrid 4 cyl making 120 hp....let's hope that never happens (FYI Porsche has a new "hybrid" supercar making more power than a Carrera GT, faster too, and it gets 78 mpg - maybe the future is bright!)

Mike at Powerhouse ran a Showroom Stock GT Premium on Standard 3.31 Gears and Standard All-Season Tires 12.77 at Atco. Unfortunately not much more info.

Their is also the Convertible with 3.31 Gears that went 116 mph for Motorweek but I suspect that was using 5th Wheel Equipment. If so that would be a 114 mph trap which would be believable since the 3.73 Coupes (All Magazine Test Cars) start hitting the limiter in 4th (1.32) around 110 mph traps (112 mph finish).
