From my point of view i want a lighter car, less hp is fine with me but make it light. as most of us own a f-body im shure you know how much diferance 200-300 lbs can make. for example take our cars, cant you notice a great deal of diferance when driving with a full load of passengers and a full tank? i know you can feel it especialy us stick guy's
at leas for me LS1 or LS2 wuld surfice but i wuld like it to be a great deal lighter than the others, BC as they say weightloss is the bets power adder

It will come with the 6.2 version of the LS motor... just released in the CADDY.
I would guess... 425HP or maybe 450 hp.
Chevy will make a optional PERFORMANCE CAMARO...
I hope it is a ZL1 maybe with the LS7 or the new SC motor scheduled for the corvette BLUE DEVIL.
I am sure they will have the Z28 and SS models...
Z28 giving the SCCA/autocross/roadracer something to battle the MOPAR and FORD ....with... of course... the new camaro will be doing battle with the NEW TOYOTA SUPRA AND NISSIAN GTR....

My buddy and I are buying cars of similiar paint and stripe schemes. He's buying the new Camaro and I'm buying the 2008 Mustang GT. I read from Motortrend that in 2007 there will be 1,000 boss stangs made with 3v 5.0 motors detuned to 425 hp. And in 2008 the Mustang GT will have the 3v 5.0 detuned again to around 350 to 400. But at least we know it can be tuned past 425 hp.

I have to admit, if they're not going to bring back T/A's I'd get a Challenger.
I've never owned a dodge but I like how bodywise it REALLY looks like a '70 Challenger. On the flip side I like the Camaro interior more. The Challenger interior looks more minimalist.

No one has said this but.....I wont be getting the Camaro because I will wait to see if a new Firebird is put into production. No offense but the Firebird concepts look a ton better than the Camaro. If that happens I will sell my soul for one of those!!! Knowing me I will end up with a Firebird and a SRT Challenger...side by side in my garage....in front of my SRT Maggie and by good old TA.....yup!

That could change laughing boy.......a few months back even a new Camaro was denied. Anything could happen. GM is not known for being honest with the public all the time. For Firebird enthusiasts is a win/win situation. If a new one comes out it will be 10,000 times more attractive than the ugly as sin Camaro, if it dont our Firebirds will become more desired and valuable....whos laughing now??

I would at least like to have an LS2 Camaro. The LS7 will probably be out of my range for a while. I don't want to give the kind of money they will be demanding for them. I will wait my turn.
