To drive or not to drive ?
I know there are probably alot of these questions on here and i never really thought i would find myself with a car nice enough to ever consider not driving it.
I know my car isnt a Firehawk or a Dick Harrell Camaro but it is 1 of 7 sport gold metallic WS6's with a manual. Its bone stock except for exhaust and has all the original documents and even has the t-top inserts in the original GM packaging. The car is flawless, no rock chips, no rust, the underneath is probably cleaner than some show room cars.
I wanted a Fbody to mod and drive and take to the track but im not so sure with this one. What are your opinions? Could this be a future collectors car?

Mileage? Do you plan on selling it down the road? I personally would never buy a car that is going to see a garage all of it's life. But then again if you have the money to purchase another fbody then I would say go for it.

its got 52k on it one owner
ive got a gp for a daily driver. 5.0 hatch to play with and a 73 mach 1 to restore... so i guess im ok with the idea of it only coming out for shows... but i truley wanted one to drive. I also feel as if i owe to the fbody community to preserve this fairly rare machine.

I would still do what I planned if I were you. I will tell you this from experience though, start with the drive train. Keep all of your stock stuff that you take off so if you ever decide to return it to stock cause you bought something else to take more of a beating then you'll already have most of what you need. You can have a fast car and still look extremely good while you do it not to mention still being street legal (for the most part ). The main thing is that it's entirely up to you on what you want. We can only make suggestions.
My car is nothing special, but it gets treated like it's the only one of it's kind, but I still race it, drive it, and show it. I've put too much money in it for it to just sit there. Just enjoy the car. Afterall, it's just a car even though the majority of us treat them better then our spouses/girlfriends. This is all just my opinon though.

if i drive it it might get rock chips lol... i may make it a saturday car. put it this way the car has seen more water from car washes than it has from mother nature... so yeah. I really dont want anything to happen to it. And the cool part is I pretty much stole it from the guy.

Cars are ment to be driven. While a sgm ws6 is rare i know ive never seen one, its still a mass produced model of a car its never going to be worth major money so enjoy it. Besides i know id like to see a modified sgm ws6 cruising on the streets have fun with it.

Drive it man, it's not a collectors car and it's got 52k miles on it which isn't low by any means. While the color may be rare the car itself is not. Unless you plan on holding onto it for say 40 or 50 years drive it. It will probably take every bit of that amount of time for the value on these cars to turn around in all reality.
Besides... they are fun cars to drive, have fun with it. Just take care of it as you go.

If this helps any, I drive my ceta every damn day. I agree that cars are meant to be driven. Even if you decide to never drive it, you still have to maintain the car's fluids and other things to keep it running good. So as long as you paying to maintain the car, you might as well drive it to get your money's worth.
