What do i need?

What do I need to get to 400 hp . I think i have an idea i just wanted everyones input. And I dont wanna go to expensive either. Mods i already have are in my sig.I also have a shift kit.

Cheapest way? Nitrous and a Tune...

What do you want out of the car? 400hp all the time, sometimes?

Will you be drag racing?

There are a lot of variables. We need to know your goals to better assess the question

Full bolt ons and a cam will get you there depending on what cam you go with.

Its going to be a street car and occaisonally track. I just want around 400 or make it faster than what it is now.And i dont wanna do nitrous.

im assuming from your name its a 98, so ur gonna need an ls6 manifold, good set of longtubes, good flowing exhaust and an ms3 cam will get you to the 400rwhp mark if youre a 6 speed.

I am a auto and i have the bbk ssi intake manifold with a bbk throtle body. i have a flowmaster cat back. From reading on here i hear thats a pretty bad one..lol

yeah id ditch the flowmaster for magnaflow or some true duals.

are there any a4s making 400rwhp NA with stock heads? i havent kept track lately but im guessing most a4s that are hooked up have big stalls and gears that eat up power but lower ET.

my 224/230 cam made 380rwhp with ls6 intake and headers. so id say if i had a ptb,pulley i could have been right there.. all you need is a decent cam, doesnt even have to be huge and full bolt ons and you can meet that goal.
