8.1 Big Block in a 98-02 F-Body
Has any body put a 8.1 in a f-body?
I know they are heavy as **** but, I have found one and im wondering if it would be worth the time and money to do this.

i personally do not think it is worth the time if it is a street car. that motor will kill the handling on your car. also knowing what your hp goals will help.
you can easily get 500whp out of an ls2 408 (even out of a h/c 346 ls1)without any power adders and still have room to grow.

but to the OP, I'd follow this guys advise, go with the small block, you will lose much more than you gain by going with the 8.1.

Another reason i want to see one is because, back in the late 60's early 70's when they put big blocks in GM muscle cars, they were bad ***.
So why wouldent one be bad *** now (with the right suspension, and mods).

well, all I can say is I know the 8.1L engine will fit in a 4th Gen F-body. Ask me how I know! lol.
I think it would be different, and reminiscent of the late 60's big-block Camaro's, with today's technology. DO IT!!
