Why did you choose to stay N/A?
I would like to read some opinions on why you will stay N/A. I was thinking of how I should build my motor. I cant really afford F.I. Ive had N2O, but I dont like the idea of it plus all the bugs I had to work out.
So lets hear your reason...

I wanted to stay N/A for the longest time.
But i also wanted to stay full weight (stock interior, nothing gutted) and run some nice numbers.
So i went the nitrous way..
N/A is awesome! Have some more respect for them.

Pride. It's a better feeling when you can get power without FI or juice. Plus a fast FI car is just another fast car, whereas a fast NA car is more unique. Just the way I look at it.

When I WAS staying N/A is was mostly due to money...
I am now underway on my own turbo build... I doubt I will look back...
For those of you saying that N/A is more impressive and unique.... how exactly do you propose that a heads/cam/full bolt ons etc car is MORE unique than a car that the owner has spent many many many hours fabricating their own FI system?

Again, I'm talking purely speed-wise here.
If you're going to go into the whole thing of spending time fabricating on your car, then there's the argument of how someone spends all their time on their car's handling opposed to speed. I'm speaking in the sense that you can make any car fast with FI. And I don't mean "any" in the exaggerated sense.
Heads/cams/bolt ons. They're all replacement of parts, not additions like FI or juice.
Again, I'm not saying you're car is more/less unique. Every car is unique in their own way.

So FI on these cars are self fabricated? They don't come in kits? <<Serious question.

I would argue that no FI kit is simply an addition... generally at minimum you will have to go into the motor for springs etc... and most FI guys still run cams and heads etc....Injectors, Fuel, etc etc etc...
I can appreciate N/A , FI, and Nitrous.... I will also agree that to go significantly fast with an all N/A car you better know what you're doing, and that in itself is cool...but there are fast N/A cars everywhere too.... Just dont get mad if that FI car you walked out of the hole comes blowin your mirrors off mid track....

Oh no no... there are MANY FI kits... but my point is you cant throw all FI guys into the same basket. I am working on my own variation of a single front turbo.. yes its not new ground Im blazing, but I am still the one making it all fit...

My Supra friend was arguing who is faster on the highway. He said he would beat me anytime (he's turbo'd) and I tried explaining that it's not like we're at high altitude (we're sea level) that he'd get that big of a difference from the turbo or that I would be at a great disadvantage. Didn't even bother listening.

Once you catch a ride in a FI car done correctly its hard to argue. Respect for NA builds, however no FI for me is strictly a result from losing arguements with my accountant.
