Default best aftermarket air lid?

Just wondering if anyone has something other than Slp's air lid on there cars. is Slp the best for our cars, i've heard they can be a PITA to install. Anyone do anything different or go a different brand?

A lid is a lid is a lid is a lid.

Pick one that suits you and your price range.

I have an SLP lid and I kinda have to force it into the 4 peg slots but it works fine.

What Shamson5.7 said.

I have the MTI Clear lid, it looks great. Fit is pretty good.

You'll probably run into some lids that might not fit so good, it all varies really.

My SLP fits pretty good. I have seen some of them rub the bottom of the hood and clips not stay latched.

a lid is a lid, if the clips don't stay on tuck the front of the lid into the bottom of the air box. Just pull it out a bit and push the lid down in, it will never come out if done correctly unless you undue the clips yourself.

as previously stated it can be bc of the not tucking the front lip in correctly. Mine would do it but it was bc my motor mounts were shot. The motor would twist the lid until the metal snaps popped off. So I had to loosen the TB hose so it could slide a bit. Now with poly motor mounts it stays in place

a lid is a lid but i think the bigger 85mm lids make a bit more power

No lid is a pita to install... ever.

Just look past all the lid nonsense
