My buddy didnt think my fiancee`s 2000 ws6 would be able to spin 315 series tires. the tires are nitto 555(315-35-17). The car is stock with a ls1 and automatic. the rear end is going but i have a moser 9 comming. I tought her how to whip doughnuts yesterday. she loves doing doughnuts. my question to you is how long do you think the tires will last! they were just put on 2 days ago!
The vids are on youtube as I cant seem to figure out how to load them on here without getting a error.

i did. i broke the housing using an impact driver . I bought a nice chordless impact driver. its my favorite tool! but you cant use it for everything! lol. I over tightened the top bolt that pivots and it cracked off the mounting tab. I cant find one for less than $250. guess its a lesson learned. unless someone has a parts car!! that tired ls1 really has to work to spin those big meats! The 427 should have no problem melting them off though. Nothin better than a little reckless driving. ha ha

heck yea. I was thinking about putting 55 gallon barrels all around it and paddle wheels that way I can drive it down the Mississippi!.. lol jk. You dont buy a sports car to baby it. They are meant to drive and if we wreck it, well, its my money so it shouldnt concern anyone else. the whole drivetrain/drivline is getting replaced, so why not beat the **** out of it for a couple months.
im starting to like the rims more and more. going to paint the car the same color as the rims with black stripes! hell yea!

Why would you do that to an F-Body. I mean, they're not Corvettes, but still, they're dang good cars for the money, and it's getting harder by the day to find one that hasn't had the life beat out of it.

It's not a mint condition show car, so I really don't see what the big deal is with everyone giving the OP a hard time.
He wants to drive the car hard, break it, rebuild it and do it again, so be it.
I stopped treating cars like that when I was about 19, but if someone else is having fun with their own car, what's the big deal?

Im not trying to impress anyone. I just thought it was cool that I could buy her the car and let her have some fun. She loves it. Its no different than drag racing a car or racing. And i could be 80 years old and still be entertained by people doing things like that. unless they are being unsafe about it.

Some of the responses here remind me of when i picked up my car after it got a rear axle shaft fixed under warranty and the service advisor told me "You have to take it easy on these cars, they are fragile and werent meant to be driven hard, dont give it "the beans" from a stop" Yep, thats why i bought it haha

the rear end is already going, the tranny has a bunch of metal particals, and the engine burns a little oil. im going to freshen the motor into a 383 budget build and do a street rod, or a snowblower! lol. i kinda want to tear apart the automatic to see whats all involved with that. im very mechanicaly inclined so sky`s the limit. people sometimes dont take me serious for my age(24), but i have played my cards right and own my own business and have a family. thats success all in its own.
