Default LS3 in '98 Z28 fuel economy

Just curious if this is considered OK for fuel economy on the new motor. This is from the second tank of fuel on my way to LSFest. Everything is inside the cabin.

Vehicle weight: 3691 including driver
Extras: 4 315/35/17 tires (204lbs), jack ~30lbs, other tools ~40lbs, luggage maybe 15lbs, laptop bag 15lbs, other misc maybe 30lbs

So around ~4000lbs. 3.73 gears. Cruise control set at 80MPH for almost all of the tank. Front tire pressure 32 cold, rear 30 cold.

I measured 23.8MPG. I certainly miss getting to Atlanta on a tankful, but I guess it's not horrible.

How things with your new motor I know a while back you were having trouble with the other one? Did u reach your goals and dyno numbers? I bought an 2008 LS3 vette instead of upgrading.. I am the guy who had the red trans am with afr 205/ ported fast 92/92 made 430 rwhp. I think our hp numbers were about the same?

Just replaced a Katech oil pump with a stuck relief valve. Don't know yet what caused it to stick, hopefully no hidden damage done. Haven't even dynoed it yet

It is a 6-speed. Currently tuned by Frost, and he advises running closed loop using the fuel trims will get me the best fuel economy.
