Default 408 LQ4 stroker going in...which tranny?

I picked up an LQ4 (408 stroker) recently. Going into F Body. My camaro has the 4L60E right now. I know that is not going to hold up. Question is, what transmission is going to be the easiest swap for me? I can buy a built 4L60E, a 4L80E or been thinking of a T56. I just want to go the easiest route possible.
What will be the easiest to install? I believe the LQ4's came with 4L60E's. I have read a bit on the 4L80 swaps on here, but most threads are LS1 engines.
What the heck did the 4L80's come bolted up to? I see some trucks, but is this not the same block I am installing?

If it helps any, an '02 T56 was bolted up to this engine with no issues.

I think I am confusing myself with all the conflicting posts!

A 4l60e and a 4l80e will bolt right up to the motor. The 4l60e will obviously be easier to install because that is what your car came with orginally. A 4l80e will require a new crossmember, as well as a few other things. Check out the transmission section, there is a sticky about the 4l80e.

A built 460e is tougher than alot give it credit for..WAAAY cheaper and easier than your altenatives too.... 4L80e or a T56 swap are pretty involved and costly....

Yeah, the more I read into it, the more I don't want to deal with swaps. I saw one of the sponsors on here has built 4l60's for a good price. Might go with that.

This is what I did, the th350 swap because the 4L60E needs to be rebuilt every 6-8 months. Installed the th350 for about the same price it would cost to buy a built 4L60E.

I would keep the 60E. Where are you located? It would be worth it to take it to my trans guy.

If your going through 4L60E's every few months, the only thing you need is a different trans builder.

This spring/summer mine will have been in the car for a year and ive had ZERO problems with it...and its built better than most "built" ones you buy online.

I like my T56..

A 4L60E would be cheaper.
