first time running the 1/8th
took the camaro to eddyville, won 20$ and made it to the fast 4, pretty good for the first time id say.
8.86 at 82mph was my best time of the night, ok for 2.73s, and street tires.

I never understood how ppl race 1/8th mile tracks
I always figured it was because people want to cheap out and make more passes on cheaper built stuff.

Im not a big fan of 1/8th mile drag racing but its not becasue they want to cheap out or have cheap built cars. There are some extremly fast 1/8th mile cars out there that cost a lot of $$$$. Some of them run in the 3.XX second range.

i have 2 1/8th mile tracks near me. and both have big money races. more so than the 1/4 tracks near me. you also have to consider the amount of room a track can have. tracks may have enough for the 1/4 mile but not enough room for the shut down area. i think its also cheaper to run 1/8 mile track far as insurance goes. that be my guess anyway

for a majority of the cars out there, 1/8th is just too short to be worth a dang.

i usually run 1/4, thought id try the 1/8th, i ended up being one of the top fastest four cars of the night, but got smoked by a speed inc built c5 on spray, cool thing was the fastest four cars were all ls1 powered cars.
