My wife is wanting to get a range rover. So I have to choose between the camaro or the Gto. Either we sell the goat and I keep the SS or I sell the SS and keep the Gto. I love them both and torn on which to choose.

I see the GTO holding its value for a long time coming, but its much easier to make the SS fast if thats what your using your cars for. I love my GTO but if I were to buy another project it would be an Fbody

If it's anything older than an '06 Range Rover don't touch it. I work very closely with a LR dealer and any range older than that is absolute junk and a money pit. $1800 is even paying too much considering the cost to fix common problems like air suspension, ABS brake system, engine parts, etc. Also, make sure what you're getting has some sort of CPO on it. The newer ones, while more reliable, are still expensive as sin to fix.

Judging by your post I would assume you already own both the SS and GTO and you need to get rid of one? If thats the case post up some more info on both of the cars and that should make it easier to pick on.

I own both at the moment and both are pretty damn modded. If you only drag race I say keep the camaro. If you just cruise around then the gto is the better car. I only use the ss for racing for the most part and i take the gto cruising

This decision would be very easy for me. I would already have the GTO sold and forgotten before the thought of selling the SS would ever enter my mind. When I think about the things that people generally prefer about GTOs over F-bodies, none of those things are really important to me. On the other hand, the things that I prefer about the F-body are much more important to me, thus making the decision very easy.
So my advice is to think about the differences between the two cars, especially the things you like most about each. Then decide which of those factors are most important, and pick the car that offers the things you prefer most in those categories.

Yes both cars are paid for. The GTO is hers and the SS is mine. The goat is an 05 Impulse Blue Metallic w/ blue leather. It has a tad over 50k on it. M6 full exhaust, Volant intake, B&M shifter, and Tuned. My SS is a 99 with mods in sig plus i just put on a umi adjustable TQ arm about 3 days ago. It has 78K on it and is in mint as condition as you can have for a daily driver

I would probable keep the GTO because I like the overall ride quality of them better but its really all about personal preference. Another option is if you really do like them both equally is to list them both for sale and sell whichever one sells first at the price that you would take it for.

I like the SS, it just seems like it has a much more muscular/raw feel to it when compared to a GTO. Which could equate to it being more fun to drive to some people. I would keep your car and get rid of the GTO. Besides, depending on the year/mileage on the GTO, you'll probably get more money for it than you would your SS in the current market.

Sorry but Range Rovers are some of the most overpriced, unreliable pieces of **** on the planet. Like BudRacing said, don't be surprised to have an endless number of costly repairs. They seriously are ****. They leak oil, air suspension problems, ABS and SRS problems, engines always seem to be noisy, tires always seem to wear out unevenly and prematurely. Sorry man but I just think they really suck. Even the newer ones still suck.
Unless you're dead set on getting one, I would look for something else. Better yet, I would keep both the SS and GTO.

no offense but if its her gto and her idea to get the money pit range rover tell her kindly to sell HER own ******* car and get it HERSELF! No way in hell would a woman ever tell me to sell my camaro. Realistically though, it sounds like you are attached to your SS and she couldnt give 2 ***** about her goat so it seems like a no brainer to me?

Lol, it would be just like a woman to make a man sacrifice himself just so she could have her cake and eat it too. Like the other posters have said, if she wants a Range Rover then she needs to sell HER car and leave you out of it; that goes for the high dollar repairs and servicing too...
