Upgrade or nitrous!?
need honest opinions here because I am lost and don't know what I want lmao.
so My current engine setup is:
Cam (Comp 54-444-11 (XER273) 224/230 .581/.588 114)
Comp Magnum Pushrods
Comp 918 Valve Springs
F.A.S.T. 90 MM Intake Manifold
Nick Williams forged 90 MM Throttle Body
SLP Air Lid w/ K&N Filter
180* Thermostat
Pacesetter Coated Headers
Off-Road Y pipe
Corsa 3" Exhaust
Stock Bottom End and 241 stock Heads
looking to upgrade to ported dart heads my friend can get a good deal on theses, get a bigger cam but not too big as I want to DD my car.
or should I just get nitrous??

I go back and forth. Sometimes I leave it in the car for awhile and sometimes I only put it in when I know I'm looking to have fun( I don't like leaving it in the car when it is hot outside). Most of the time you have to heat up the bottle to get your pressure where you want, so you can't always instantly turn it on when you see a badass car you want to run.

From what I read about the heating up part it depends on the application. As I was reading in the nitrous FAQ that excessive purge is just a waste with a basic system. Which is what I am going to get. Just a quick purge and ready to go. At least that's what I got from reading the stickies lol

Yea purging IMO is for serious racers that need consistent results. For the most part a small purge is fine. Sometimes you'll open your bottle and itll only be at 750 psi and you need to have it at 900psi +. I normally run my pressure at 950-1000psi so It would take it a few minutes to heat up from 750 to 950. Hope this is making since.

I decided to go with this because $800 =100-300hp depending on the shot and quality system you get. or H/C $3000+ not including labor is harder for this and to gain only 50-60hp if that for my setup did not seem worth it. I will do that upgrade whenever I get a new engine. I'm not even thinking turbo or supercharger right now that **** is $$$$$!!
