Default C5 - FRC vs. Targa Look?

What do you guys prefer? I'm looking to pick up one and am having a hard time distinguishing between which look I prefer better. The FRC looks more like a Z06 as they discontinued them in '01 I believe. I like hardtops in general as my camaro was one since they give it more of a race car theme. Although I'm also liking the slope of the targa in the rear. What do you prefer?

here's a quick comparison of pics.... (not greatest of pics on my 5 min. search)

Hardtop...

Hatchback...

Targa (what you call 'hatchback'), without a doubt.

I've never liked the FRC (fixed roof coupe)/ZO6 body style. Looks totally wrong to me. I would never want one. But to each his own.

I like the hardtop style. Seems more like a race car, and I've never really classified the Corvette as a hatchback, regardless of if it has a hatch. It's a sports car, not a hatchback, and so it shouldn't BE a hatchback.

At least, that's the way I reason it.

All about the FRC. Only complaint about my car is that it isn't a frc. But they don't have automatics, and that's what I wanted.

Also, in actuality the coupe is the better shape performance wize. Much more stable at 140mph and up. But the FRC was made much ligher, so it has a weight advantage.

i vote FRC.

when i went looking for a vette i wanted a coupe, but then stumbled upon the FRC, and had to go with that, its sleek looking and is about 80lbs lighter than the coupe..

although at meets you constantly get asked if its a Z06, and also pointed out above, the shape of the coupes are better air dynamic...

either way, its a vette!

Hatchback. It continues the lines of the roof gracefully to the tail giving the impression of aerodynamic stability at high speeds.

Coupe for me, I need fun in the sun to go along with my performance. I won't own a car without a roof or removeable top....!

FRC's are lighter but not much and worse Aero than a coupe. Plus the storage space under the hatch makes up for it only having two seats.
