All LS1s came with 350hp.

The exact same LS1 in the 350hp vette is the exact same LS1 that was put in the f-bodies and GTO.

Exact w/ minor differences such as oil pan for different k-member and some different accessories.

The engine internals/cams were the same.

All LS1s came with ~350hp.

All. No difference from z28 to SS or Formula to T/A to WS6.

No difference.

Just to clarify . . It is 350 horse 365 torque at the crank and 310 horse 325 torque to the wheels -- this is Chevy's ratings !! If you dyno one of these cars those numbers probably wont be your exact numbers -- they'll be in the ballpark though. This is for 02' cars also.

You lose more with an A4 than a M6 also ..

I've been interested in this subject as well. I was told the LS1 in the 01 and 02's that are in the f-bodies had a different cam than that that was used in the vette. Is there any hard data on the true dyno of these engines?

The differences were because the vettes didn't come with air or egr.

The power difference is negligible.

`98-`00 Corvette and F-body LS1's did have different cams but there was no power difference to speak of.
`01-`04 LS1's are all the same internally no matter which car they were installed in.

And the cars with the manual trans won't have the losses like an auto, so they will be a little bit higher.

My 2002 Camaro SS Convertible had the 345HP package from SLP when I ordered the car (Donaldson Blackwing lid and Dual-Dual cat-back exhaust). BONE-STOCK, on Speed Inc's dyno: 319.72 HP & 339.42 TQ (I even left my dirty air-filter in - a new filter might have read even higher).

Stock 2002 Z28 and SS cars were "RATED" 325HP, and the SS cars had the SLP options available (sincle SLP is the place where the Z28 cars were made into the SS: 335HP - just the cat-back & 345HP like mine - lid and cat-back)

...Justin00SS is exactly right!! I work for GM and every single LS1 produced, makes 350HP at the flywheel! No matter if it was a Z28, a SS or what! This has been a highly debated topic for years. But I can assure you that they all make 350HP.

Just curious, if they make 350 then why do they advertise them at lower HP. For example they say my '02 WS6 is 325. Why wouldn't they just say 350?

Because it looks bad for a $40k vette to have the same power rating as a $25k camaro/firebird.

GM has don't this for years.

When the GN came out the vette had a top speed of 85mph. The GN was the fastest car GM made at the time but it was way underrated because the vette is GM's flagship car.

The best thing about the 01 and 02 F-bodies is the LS6 intake manifold and no EGR

Insurance standards and the biggest reason is.......the Gas Guzzler Tax. Dealers and GM would pay through the nose if all LS1 vehicles were to be charged with the Gas Guzzler tax like the GTO's had put on them because they advertised a 350HP rating.

It's the same motor, but different exhaust systems and intake lid. I'm thinking my z had somewhere over 310 stock, but with adding the borla and lid, I must be up around 350. I agree they all have the same 350 hp engine, but crappy intake and exhaust can definitely drain you of 30+hp.
