Does your "old lady" like your car? I have had my 02 Z28 for about 3 yrs now. From the begining my wife wasn't too keen on the idea. She always rolled her eyes and didn't understand why I wanted to mod. She really didn't like to cruse in the car because she says that the quick acceleration would give her a headache. Tonight we with the boys went for a cruse for the first time sense I got the cam and new wheels. We were driving through Clear Lake, an easy 40 mph cruse. Then something just clicked with her, she said "I understand now" and I said "understand what" she said "why you have to make your car different" She said "every body is looking at us and smiling and knodding at stop lights" she said "everybody knows that you camaro is not like other camaros, yours has a rumble and looks sharp" I am just sitting there with my jaw in my lap. Then she said "take a left at the light." I said " you want to go on the freeway?" She said "well you have been driving like a grandpa all evening.....I want to go FAST"

Nah the last GF didnt get it. Claimed she liked the car but then would go on rants saying I should be spending money on the house and blah blah blah... anyway shes gone.

Mine get's it but doesn't give a crap, lol. I spend too much time and money on it and it's like she's jealous of it, BUT when we go for a ride and I clown a "sports car" into submission she gets a kick out of it.

The exfiance loved it... the last serious gf hated it and hated me anytime I went over 60 mph. I only see women now that understand my obsession.

When I first bought my car the g/f hated. she was always saying i care more about it the her and stuff like that. Now she treats it like it's her own, when we go somewhere see's watching to make sure nobody messes with it

My wife has loved the fact I'm into cars since the day we met. In fact she want a v8 manual trans mustang/f body to learn stick on
She is also supporting my adventure into bikes too!!!
Did I mention she did about half the work of changing the engine in her truck with her dad?

Oh... forgot to mention. I'm seeing a girl now with a 78 Z28 w/454 BBC... lol. She loves my car. Still haven't raced her though, I'm kinda scared to.

It's got it's good times though..
Although the girl I took out last week wanted to go fast in the Camaro and she got terrified..she rode in some guy's stock '04 GT Mustang and didn't think my Camaro with the 402 could be that much faster..
Maybe why there was no second date..

ah the girlfriend doesnt really seem to care too much. she always seems to harass me about owning it and then gets upset when i ask her if she makes the payments on it. oh well. but then again all trans am's, all camaros, and all corvettes, are ugly to her...unless its yellow. we saw a brand new black z06 in the mall parking lot one day and my jaw dropped and she said "that car is ugly who would own a thing like that?" sometimes she makes me wonder what the hell im into.

Mine didn't understand it at first, then after the Cam went it, the light bulb brightened.
After that, she asked me the other day "So, what's next?".
I'm like HELL YEA!!! another $2k for heads and I'm all set!!!

gf/wife never really had a gf/wife that liked my cars, one girl i was serious about didnt liek my T/A so i got rid of it and got a duramax diesel she liked it, (I know im a dum ***) well i got rid of her and the duramax, and then an 06 silbverado, then i was just drivingaround one day and i said i want another T/A, well i let my dealer talk me into a gto and i am so glad he did I love it, well took these 2 girls riding around this past saturday and they loved it loved the power, the sound, it's so loud and just loved the car

I'm one of the lucky guys, my wife loves cars. I told if that if we didn't have the cars we wouldn't be together. She is the reason I own my car. When I was still driving the 94 Z I would send her links to TA's that I wanted to look at and buy but wouldn't really move on. She eventually got tired of it and told me to sh*t or get off the pot with the TA's so we went and bought my LS1 that night. On Friday and Saturday nights I ask her if she wants to go to the movies or to dinner but she'd rather go out and cruise in my car. Sometimes I think she may like cars more than me!
