thinkin about buying a 98 trans am, WS6, 36,500 miles, it has a pro 5.0 shifter, heads, cam, roller rockers, moser 12 bolt, ls6 intake, long tube headers, dyno at 420 rwhp.... rebuilt title. it was priced to me a $13500. Is it worth it or what? need a lil info.. thanks

13.5 for a ws6 with only 36K is great. The mods might work with you or against you though, depends how hard it was pushed by the previous owner

Have you seen the car in person? I tend to try to stay away from cars with a bad title, but some people on here have had good luck with them.

yea i've seen it in person. car looks great. he has slips from the track where it ran a 12 flat on drag radials.

That's crazy high for a rebuilt title plus the car sounds like it has been raced pretty good. I'm sure you have heard the term MONEY PIT!! I wouldn't offer him anything above $9,000. Find another, especially if you are looking in the $13,000 range. You can get something really nice with a clean title for that money and no headaches. Good luck!

In my experience, buying a heavily modded car is a very big gamble. Plus this one doesn't even have a clean title. I would stay away and buy one that hasn't been at the track.
