who turns off traction control b4 they start driven
hay guys i know i am probly the only guy that keeps traction on eveytime i drive, i only turn it off when i race or do something stupid but other then that traction control is my friend, but i know if i really wanna become a better driver i just cannot relly on a electronically controlled safety device, the main reason i keep it on is because i would have been dead right now if it wasent

It became part of my start up sequence. Turn on car, hand off key, switch off TCS, grab shifter and go. I literally have it turned off within 2 seconds of starting the car. It's so I don't even realize I'm doing it, so I don't see the need to spend any coin on a $70 module that my index finger can do for free.

When I bought my SS the traction control wasn't working on it, and I haven't bothered to try and fix it.
My daily driver- Infiniti G35, I have installed a switch that keeps the traction control turned off, the default is that it is always turned on.
I have found through the years that traction control is too obtrusive.
I have never run into a situation in the SS when I wished that it was working.
I have driven the car from Portland Ore. to Phoenix in very heavy rain and I was never in a situation where I had wished that it worked.
It really keeps you from being a better, more competant driver.

I like it for monsoon rains that we get here in Florida, especially with the DR's on.
It is also a great idea for younger drivers to keep it on till they get a good feel for the car.
