Would someone like to see a 427 SR dyno graph that Ray brought to us. I will try and get it up. Needless to say he was VERY disappointed.
Lets keep it clean and hear all the facts. I know Ray will be posting a link to the PDF file of the complaint.
Ray is a good guy and he is just asking advice and wants to make sure people don't have the same experience as he did.

RPM - I will continue to urge everybody to keep this clean and on topic. There are too many guys out there getting ripped off by unethical shops.
And I don't blame some of these guys for being skeptical. I would be too.
I want my atty to make sure the PDF file that I can post is the last draft. He will be back in town tomorrow so I should get that posted soon. The complaint along with a few of the dyno graphs are shocking.
Somebody out there is in the same predicament right now that I found myself in several years ago. Again, learn from my mistake. BTW - I don't take Internet jabber personally. If you don't believe my story tell my why and maybe I can explain or maybe I'm lying. You're the jury......for now!

RPM and really all of you. This may turn out to be the proverbial 'warning shot over the bow' that gets the attention of shops that exist only to take advantage of car lovers. This may be what it takes to get some of these people to either get out of the business or treat their customers fairly.

This is why this board exists right? I appreciate the warning / input about a bad experience, despite everyone else's opinions......

Paragraphs 18 through 35 pretty much tell the story.

That's some good reading. The bad part about this is,it is 2 friend's that have this problem. It's not like you took your car over to a shop and put trust into somebody you have never known!!! Shop's that have been in business for over 30 year's must be doing something right!! Believe me,Even the closet of friend's make mistake's!

Oh and also leaving a 50k+ car sitting outside of the shop = a Dumbass. Gotta watch yourself nowadays bc most shops are out to cut corners to make more money. Also and customer service usually sucks..
I hope you win man, bc you have spent way to much money on that car for it not to run.

I really feel for you. I'm not about to say I understand what it's like to get screwed out of $78,000.00 on a car, but I can relate to spending this kind of money on a home renovation.
I just keep asking myself why you never got anything in writing at all. I understand that he was a friend, but if I were to have a friend build me a garage, I'd put stuff in writing or else what leg would I have to stand on. I hope I'm wrong, but it could come down to a he said this/ he said that case because nothing was put in writing.
I hope the best for you. I learned this lesson a long time ago when I paid someone to do work on my car and it was all a cash transaction with no receipts or anything in writing. Fortunately, it wasn't nearly as expensive of a mistake.
Good luck to you, I hope it turns out for the best.

Yeah, I guess now a days no matter how well you know and trust somebody you have to treat them like a crook. That is really a shame that we have come to that.
Mistake? How many are forgivable? How many times do you get stranded, humiliated, almost killed and send the car back on a wrecker before you say enough is enough. Mistakes happen. What happened to me was no mistake.

Man, thats a real sad story there. Lamar sounds like a horrible incompetent person. I wish you the best of luck. BTW, paragraphs 28 and 37, "duel" is suppose to be dual and also "break" is suppose to be brake. How are those final and legal documents with errors like that!

man that's rough. It's always better if the shop admits fault and just goes to fix their mistakes, but it's obviously past that point. I wish you luck and I'm sorry it had to go like this.
