Default 02 z/28 DIES WHEN THE ENGINE WARMS UP

This has been going on for months. The car starts and runs strong. As soon as it gets to operating temperature it shuts down. I thought a fuel pump issue so I replaced the pump. Car started fine, ran strong until it got to operating temperature then just shut down.

120,000 miles, fuel pressure fluctuations.

Have you checked for codes? Maybe your emissions system is causing things to shut down when the engine switches over to warm operation.

You don't always get an SES light when your car throws a code. Go get a free scan for codes at Advance Auto or PepBoys.

Man, only thing I can think of is a short in an 02 sensor wire or MAF wire going to the PCM. I think thats the only switch over that is made when you get to operating temp that controls the engine in a way where it can just shut it off. I would say your fuel is getting shut off.

Wierd.

After it shuts down....how long until it will start up again and run normally?

It has to be cold to start or run. No more free scans in Cali.... lawmakers
