Default 4th gen LT1 radiator in a 4th gen f body??

I keep hearing everyone say that they replaced their stock, 4th gen LS1 radiator with a 4th gen LT1 unit.

They have the same, exact inlet and outlet locations as the LS1 stockers (but just have more tubing rows for better cooling), or do they require a lot of modding/fabrication to install???

OK, I get that it is easy, but my question is; ARE the inlet and outlet ports for the upper and lower main hoses in the SAME EXACT LOCATION between the two different 4th gen radiators, or does one have to use different hoses, flip the thermostat housing around, or anything else to make the LT1 fit an LS1 app??

The reason I ask is that the high performance aftermarket companies (Griffin, Be Cool, etc.) not only have different part numbers for the two engines, but claim that the inlet and outlets are in DIFFERENT locations on their products.

To confirm this again, I swapped out my LS1 radiator with cooler, to an LT1 radiator, but kept the LS1 cooler in place since hoses were new. Hose positions and openings are the same. I finally switched to a non-cooler upper hose and still have the frame rail power steering cooler.

OK, thanks everyone.

I spoke to the Vista-Pro tech dept. today, and yes, he finally also confirmed (looking at his blueprints) that the inlet and outlets locations between his LS1 & LT1 offerings are within 2 millimeters of each other.

I will order an LT1 V.P. unit soon.

Just for everyone's info, Summit WILL price match with, or beat Rock Auto's price on these Vista Pros (and most everything else from other vendors they carry) if one prefers to shop there, or has their card, or gets points, etc..
