Something like this:
http://ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/ultragauge_wired.htm
I want something like this......that also reads transmission temps.
Any ideas/opinions?

I've ran an Aeroforce Interceptor for a few years now:

I don't know about autos, but if the computer can read the transmission temp it can show it on the gauge. Otherwise you have to manually add sensors.

Yeah it's an option on the gauge, but since manuals do not have a temperature sensor it won't display anything. If autos have a temperature sensor and reports it to the computer I'm sure it would display it as well. The auto section would be a good place to ask if there's a factory temperature sensor on these cars as I have 0 knowledge on autos.
If any of your buddies has a Bluetooth OBD II adapter you could try that on your car and see what parameters are available. Torque is free and a very popular app that connects to these OBD II adapters. Plug in the adapter, pair it to your phone, open Torque, and choose what you want to see.
For whatever stupid reason that Amazon link routes to Amazon Canada. Go to Amazon.com and look for BAFX Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool, $21. I have it and it works good.
EDIT: Quick Google search for "aeroforce trans temperature site:ls1tech.com" found this: https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...-observed.html
https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...emp-gauge.html

So yeah, I'd say the Interforce can display auto trans temps.
