I have the samething with mine. I changed my fluid, not cause of the humming but cause it has 100k miles but it didnt change anything. I went to the shop and they told me that, that is just a normal thing for the stock rearend. It doesnt affect nothing really, does get annoying at times but oh well. Just upgrade to a 10 bolt or 9" if it gets to you too bad.

I had the problem too, not only was the rear end humming, it was squeaking, squawking, rattling - In a way it sounded like a haunted house!

We got it in the air on a lift, drained a little oil, and squirted in the entire bottle of GM's non-slip additive.

Worked like a champ! That quieted everything down - thank god.

Yeah, iVe heard that F-bods are notorious for that rear end Humming!, My Old 01 V6 Camaro did that on plenty occasions, My 02 SS does it only once in a great while, but does it none the less.

My v6 firebird did the same thing and the TA does it every once in a while, but not too often. I was told this was normal when I asked around about it.

The louder your exhaust, the less your rear hums/howls.

Its so odd how that happens...
