Quality-Built/Pure Energy are the same company I believe. Some reviews of 8292603N on Amazon saying it only lasted 10-11 months.

How many volts is everyone seeing off the 145 amp KG3 truck alternator ACDELCO 3351092 (right off the back of the alt itself, grounded to the alt casing?)

It is unbelievable to me that you can't buy a quality regulator to take care of this bullshit. I drove and logged my car last night and was angry how it stops charging around 5k RPM.

I looked at the Powermaster Ad244 220amp alternators on Summit and couldn't find one with a 4 pin regulator, only a 2.

I just installed over the weekend the Powermaster 165 amp (part # 48206) and it's a direct bolt in. I also went ahead and did the upgraded heavy duty wiring kit that Hawks sells.

I got a AD244 200amp monster from him....it is a quality alt...you can get a reg 145amp if you want also

the 200amp makes the case alot thicker with all the windings so it is a more pain to install but does fit
you have to take off the pulley that comes with the alt and install the stock pulley

hopefully he will sell the parts needed to fix my issue if it's as simple as that.

I emailed them a month ago and never heard back from them. I think I used the email address off the website.

I tried contacting this alternator man

info@qsalts.com,
orders@qsalts.com,
videogameproz@gmail.com

he says he doesn’t rebuild alternators.

My alternator doesn’t work well in the hot summer 90*+ when stopped at redlight w/ nothing but the AC is on (no lights, radio nothing) the charge drops to the orange section I think that’s like 8volts dc.in cooler weather it works fine as long as the AC is off.

1.should I have the charging sys. Checked at the battery store?

2.is this a brand new ad244 AC delco at Amazon? An is it any good.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007QBR8TW/ref=ewc_pr_img_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007QBR8TW/ref=ewc_pr_img_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

3.is this the proper exciter wire that’s supposed to be replaced w/ new alt.?when I replaced my OEM alt. w/ the ad244 I got the exciter wire from ebay however they don’t archive orders so I can’t just reorder the same wire bc I don’t know which wire it is.

Plan to snip the unused 3 wires 2 browns an 1 white and tape up good an only use the orange.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F6SSVZQ/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_10?smid=A3APU5QEKYC7GY&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F6SSVZQ/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_10?smid=A3APU5QEKYC7GY&psc=1

Summit doesn’t claim it’s new.do claim it’s the ad244 at 145 amps amazon is **** poor on descriptions.

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...-1092#overview

thanks for any alternator advice.
