Default ARH 1 7/8 headers o2 bung placement

Just arrived today but looks a little funny to me. Dont have any LSX stuff to compare. Driver o2 bung is angled out and upward on the primary???

you can easily relocate it. plug the original one and open a hole in the collector. i did the same thing to my flowtechs.

Yes but is this a normal o2 placement? I should not have to modify $915 headers

That's how they are supposed to be.. if you know American Racing Headers you shouldn't be questioning if they know how to build headers

Ok, now you got me confused. I have ARH LT's and mine also have an additional port (two total) on Driver side. The additional one is on the inside of header almost directly opposite of the one in the pic above. I put my O2 sensors in the inboard holes. Should the driver side be moved to the outboard bung on driver side? Does it really matter?

Thats how we do it.

If you have 2 in one header the 2nd one would be a wide band sensor. It wouldn't matter which one you use for what.

If I could help with anything else please let me know.

I only have the one bung pictured in the photo on the drivers side. I was concerned about clearance with the floorboard as the o2 sensor sticks out a few inches. Just seems like a very strange design.

That's right. Wide band sensor! Couldn't remember what the heck it was called. Thanks. Perfect. Thanks Anthony. Good to know.
