Default Alittle ls6 intake buying help

Theirs 2 of them posted on e-bay right now. One has part #12561184,
The other is #12573572

Whats the difference? I'm going to do bbk lt headers with this intake so I'll be deleting my air/erg..So the one off the camaro looks about right I think.

If anyone wants to take a look and see if they or which one is worth it, it would be greatly appreciated...(I have a 99 TA a4) I would also need to buy a intake manifold coolent pipe kit for the change, anything else I should need for the complete install of just the intake? Seems like I'd save money as oppososed to buying it off the ws6 store new for 550$ just for the intake..
Thank you..

I woupd just modify your stock coolant lines, save some cash and its simple.

Be careful about your oil sending unit, some replace it during the swap.

I would also port your tb.

What exactly does modifying stock coolent lines do, I thought an ls6, the lts, and dyno would be at the least a 30some hp gain. I'm really not too concered about saving a few $$$.. Considering I pay for all the labor that's done to my car..I'm busy no time at all....but If these intakes are the exact same as the ws6 stores..then why not save 1/2 the price for the same ****...

An ls6 intake is an ls6 intake. Buy a used one In the classifieds for 275-350$. Same exact thing as buying them, you just have to spend about five more minutes and save some money. I'm sure whoever does your work for you knows how to do it. If they have swapped a few intakes then I'm sure they know how to do it. You can search and find a full write up in a few minutes.

You can literally do an intake swap in 45 minutes, I'd give a first timer hour an half. Few simple tools.

Are you going with an ory? Cutout? Muffler?

Ls6 intake won't clear ls1 coolant lines if that's what you asking. Modifying them makes it route straight across instead of under the intake.

12561184 is an f-body part. Which means that has provisions for mounting the TB cable bracket.

12573572 is a corvette part. So it didn't need the cable bracket and it doesn't have the threaded bosses for those bolts. You will need to rig something up on this one to make it work. Or destroy your stock one and steal those bosses.

I just wanted to know the difference in part #s for the ls6 to see what the differences are....and I'm going with bbk lts with their ory and my flowmaster catback... IF I still like how it sounds...Then it's off for dyno time...I'll leave it to my guys for the install..I just want to make sure I have all the parts at the given time...

This one confuses me...partly because I don't know half of whats under my hood, but I'm sure I'll come accross it in the writeups I'm printing out..

After this is complete I'll get one of those stalls you once mentioned..ha

So I take it I should buy the listing 12561184 for the easier install?

Not so, I have a12573572 SLP modified manifold and it has the threaded bosses molded in with the threaded brass inserts

What the **** ever, dude. That's how they come, if it's modified then who cares.

If someone was selling an SLP LS6 intake that has been modified to fit an f-body or have an EGR then I'm sure they would say that when they were selling it.

I 'll try to explain a little clearer. The 12573572 manifold came with a molded in boss with threaded brass inserts for a cable bracket.
I'm sure that if someone were to buy a standard LS6 #12573572 manifold, it would have the cable bracket boss.

SLP would buy manifolds from G.M. and then modify them by installing Swageloc fittings for EGRs. That was the only mod made to the manifold. I know what I'm talking about because I have one. SLP stopped selling these manifolds a while back. Now I think the only manifold they sell is part of a package including heads.

Also for a little FYI , you have a foul mouth.

You obviously don't know what you are talking about. Corvette intakes do not come with the bosses. SLP put them in there for you.

How stupid would SLP be for selling you a $600 stock intake that you had to work on before you put in on your car.

I had a CTSV that I sold the intake off of and I can tell you that it was a 3572 with no bosses. I also know people who have had to modify there's.

You just never know. Whoever you installed it from may have put them in. Let us know either way.

I can't help myself. This guy bought a modified part so that makes him an expert on how it came stock.
