That makes it a "NO" for me then . . . I want a full over the axle true-dual system.

Basically, I'm looking for a "clone" of the Kooks system, without the hefty price tag.

thunderstruck507: Yep, they will be basically have the same design as our LS1 Race version, but for trucks. Our first batch will be 99-06 trucks with option of a Y-Pipe.

Thanks

Since, I'm in NC and we have Vehicle Inspections, I have to run a "complete exhaust system", including cats.

Yeah that would be a no here too, no interest in running dumps on a street car. A dual 2.5 over the axle system would be a HUGE seller.

Dumps? No way. Under the axle? Not a chance. I agree that a true over the axle 2.5 would be a big seller. Going to be fabricating one for myself soon. Would much rather spend a few hundred bucks on a dedicated kit.

I can't legally do dumps before the axle in Virginia. The entire passenger cabin goes to the back of the hatch as far as the law goes. You do a knock-off of the Kooks for a decent price you'd have a gold mine.

does anyone have an underbody shot of how the y-pipe is routed?

the headers themselves went in fine. didnt have to undo the motor mount or the steering linkage or anything.

BUT

The driverside collector is tilted slightly up towards the floor pan in such a manner that it seems unlikely that the y pipe will go on...

Haters on the dumps imo dumps sound amazing. They dump right before the axle i can't lower my car bc i would rub a lot more plus i never wanted to lower it anyways.

Was talking with my partner. We will probably make a true dual system that dumps before the rear end, and make a secondary system you can bolt onto the first if need be that goes over the rear end in true dual exhaust.

Basically make it optional for those guys that buy a dumped true dual system to convert it into a quieter exhaust.

Are you guys looking for 3" or 2 1/2"..

I think 2.5 is the way to go. Plenty for 90% of f-body's out there, more wiggle room. Less prone to fitment problems and rattles etc. 3's are nice, but IMO not usually needed/worth the extra cost.

Ya, maybe a 3" true dual dumped before the rear end, and a 2 1/2" true dual over the rear end to start with.

Dual 2.5" sounds good to me... will support plenty of power and shouldn't have any clearance issues. Put me in for one!

This would be a fair compromise. I'd personally be interested in the 3" dumped.

edit: I'd prefer bullet mufflers

I'll also kindly volunteer to be the 1-7/8" long tubes/3" dumped duals guinea pig

I still say 3" under the axle and it would sell well. Or give the option to those of us that want out the back without stepping down to 2.5".

sasquatch094: Thank you for your order!

demonspeed: Ya, not sure on muffler type yet. Was thinking either bullet or something like the magnaflow version.

1bdbrd: I am sure the demand is there, but we didn't really like the look and design of under the rear end exhaust. Who knows with 3" we might not have a choice.

Thanks
Sean

Agreed that under the axle is not the best asthetics wise. And like I mentioned earlier, going 2.5 over the axle would be a lot easier than 3 over the axle. Easier = cheaper. We all already know that we can get a 3 inch over the axle for $1,200 elsewhere......
