BanditDave: Thank you for the order..

jc98ss: For some reason they are taking longer than usual on the truck headers. We just got word yesterday that we still have another 6 weeks before a prototype comes in to test fit. Were sending off a 07+ truck header this morning. Hopefully all will be in stock late in the year into spring time.

SoonerBrad88: Was talking with that guy yesterday. He had them installed in like 20 min. lol I believe we posted dyno numbers a few pages back on a head/cam camaro we test fitted them on.

Thanks
Sean

That's crazy having these in in 20 minutes! I fought like hell to get my driver side header in. If I didn't already have this size I would buy a set.

One other question.... was there not a benefit to putting a high velocity merge collector on these? I feel like that would help them flow that much better.

I can see it taking 20 minutes to install. My Hooker headers slid right in. The hardest part was getting the front of the car way up in the air.

We might put a merge spike on them down the road. Honestly, we have never dyno tested the difference between a merge spike and without one. Not sure how beneficial they are.

Thanks

You might want to add more packaging material for shipping. Both of my collectors are no longer round due to them bouncing around in the box.

Mine arrived a little scuffed here and there from shipping, but not anything bad. They just slipped right in, no fitment issues at all. Thanks to Speed Engineering for offering a good quality product at a reasonable price.

Glad to hear.. Ya, not really sure what else to put in the boxes. The headers are in plastic bags, and separated by a cardboard layer. When we put Y-Pipes in the boxes they are individually wrapped with bubble wrap. Believe it or not that is the way all headers are shipped. Whether we order Kooks, PaceSetters, etc they all ship the same way to us. UPS is just really rough with boxes. I have literally gotten on our own UPS pickup guy for throwing them in his truck. One time he dropped one so hard the header came through the box, and it had not even left us yet. Talk about irritating. They just don't care unfortunately.

Thanks again guys..

got my 1 7/8 with y-pipe in the mail yesterday. Everything was MINT in the box, no issues. So EXCITED. Been waiting forever for these. Hope you guys are getting to work on some truck headers.

EDIT: for the install on these, will we have to unbolt the engine and jack it up or will they slide right in without any trouble?

I'm sure you won't have to undo the mounts and jack the engine up lol

Just got mine installed yesterday. Passenger side header slid right in, driver side took a little bit of time then it finally slid in. I had only one issue, I got the ORY with the headers and the small piece of pipe after the collector on the driver side is pressed up against the floorboard. Header clearance was fine though. Not sure if I should try to pry it down or what but it vibrates quite a bit. Has anyone run into that issue yet? BTW I have poly motor and tranny mounts.

I had the same problem. I also have poly engine/trans mount. I had to pie cut a section out of my y pipe on the drivers side to angle it down some.
