Speed Engineering Race Version Headers Now Available!!

I noticed that the clamps on the passenger side portion of the Y pipe have all become loose causing leaks. I tried tightening them back but they are still loose. The spacer between the ends of the clamps is too big, and is not removable and this is what is causing the clamps to not tighten enough.
What kind of clamps are you guys switching to?

Magnaflow has some good band clamps we have used in the past. Here is a link for you:

Well, bad news unfortunately. We just found out they sent us a batch of the wrong headers. They confused part numbers it looks like. Extremely frustrating as you can imagine. We just put another order in, but we're still looking around 2-3 months wait. Very sorry, sucks for everyone.

We actually just got word that our 1 7/8" did arrive, but they have a different collector on them. They have a prototype merge collector similar to our 1 7/8" truck headers.

We were working with them on a design and for some reason they sent us a batch. This is a one batch version, as we will be using the original collectors on future batches. Merge spikes are also included with this batch.
Thanks

JaSSon: Yes, we heard, thank you for that. This thread is not just about sales. Its to help and be informative as well. I am sure you will be happy with TSP just the same.
Zach-R: Yes, everything is identical, but the collector itself. They will work with all existing applications. We were going for a smooth merge collector which builds power/torque. They basically did that, however its not as smooth of a transition as we would like. We never approved it, but they decided to send us a batch of them any way. Pretty cool of them huh. :/
We decided to make it a one batch version due to the hassle of trying to explain exactly what we were looking to achieve with them. Not sure if its the tooling, or the concept, but it just proved to be move of a headache than what it was worth.
Thanks guys
Sean

02blksscmro: Does a seat of the pants feeling count. We never tested them on the dyno. However, I had a set of 1 3/4" longubes on my 2008 Sierra Crew-Cab with the standard collector. When we were prototyping our 1 7/8" 07-13 version they had the current collectors on them. They definitely felt faster. lol, not sure if that counts though.
YURVIEW: Funny, we dont really have sales on our products, sorry.
Thanks

I understand the concept and what you were going for. I'm very undecided on buying these or not. How long until the next batch (with original collector) becomes available?
You also mentioned over the phone having an exhaust shop expand the smaller part on the collector. I'm worried the metal may not stretch well etc. I'd hate to ruin a new set of headers.
Someone please buy these and dyno them!

I think if the transition from smaller to larger could be a bit smoother these would work very well. I would be very excited to see a improved version of this merge collector in the future. I just worry the abrupt increase in diameter may cause some turbulence but it does have merge spikes so that does help a lot. In all honesty I'm sure they flow very well. I just think the design can be improved.
