A couple of things...^^^^

One, that's awesome.

Two, look at that torque curve.

Three, isn't your AFR a little on the scarier side?

Four, your exhaust - so you replaced the resonator thta came with the LM1 with a dynomax bullet? How does it sound? rasp?

Thanks. Car has always felt strong, just needs 4.10 gears. It only has around 40k miles (not sure if this would help).

AFR is definitely scary, and I have since had it re-tuned (actually had it re-done yesterday). However, the sensor that they placed in the exhaust actually popped out of the exhaust towards the end of the dyno pull, so I think that contributed to the scary readings.

I purchased the SLP LM1 without the resonator section, and welded in a dynomax bullet muffler. The car is loud, drones a bit around 2000 rpms in 6th gear and sounds wicked nasty (not sure how else to explain it, this may be referred to raspy) under wide-open throttle. Overall it is a higher pitched, louder more raspy sound compared to my lower rumbling Flowmaster American Thunder Cat Back.

Defiantly getting a set of these headers/ypipe for my '98 Z28. I was on the fence about the gaskets as well. I did the same thing with my SLP LM1 setup on my '95 Z28 few years back. Like paradigmGT, I used the dynomax bullet along with a borla xr1 and a SW powerstick in the I-pipe section over time. All sounded great and had their own sound/rasp/drone. I liked the powerstick the best though.

Put my 1" 7/8 LT's on the other night. Removed the steering shaft and they went in perfect. No cutting or hammering. I'm very happy with the fitment and looks. Props to speed engineering. I'll also be being a set for my 5.3 Silverado soon.

Glad to hear. Thanks again guys.. I didn't even know eBay offered codes lol. I am pretty sure we got paid the same. Not sure how that works with them.

Install update... The 1 7/8" installed exactly as the 1 3/4" did. I had to slightly grind off a casting ear on the drivers side of the factory k-member earlier this year when the 1 3/4" were installed. This was plenty of clearance for the larger tubes also. The pass side went right in without removing anything. I had to remove the mm to pedestal bolt in order to lift the drivers side of the engine an inch or so and they went right in. Keep in mind I already have poly mm's installed from the previous LT install. I also have a 4l80 trans with aftermarket cooler lines that were routed close to the factory locations but not exact. All in all a very easy install. Thanks Speed Engineering.

Just installed the 1 7/8 with ORY and poly mounts. No fitment issue but the Y pipe was a bit of a pain figuring out how to get it all together. Also no grinding of anything.

One thing though is I didn't receive enough clamps. The Y to I pipe section is missing a clamp since I had to cut my stock clamp off. The picture showed 6 clamps but I only received 5. How many should I have had?

Also installed mine over the weekend and installation was painless. However, as many has pointed out ditch the band clamps and either get Lap Clamps or do what I'm doing and weld the Y-pipe and exhaust. The clamps leak for you cannot get them to seal properly no matter what you do without running the risk of stripping the bolts.

Sean I have been reading up here and went to your website and I'm leaning to 1 3/4" and didnt see them, they arent discontinued are they? I'm planning an engine swap to a mild LS6 224 cam and cnc heads, with normal SBC thats as big as they need yet so many are going 1 7/8"? my car is strictly street, little confused here. will the ORY work with either? I did find the 1 3/4 on amazon

zman1969: Nope, we have both in stock. 1 7/8" would definitely be the way to go with a head and cam car.

z28_YOU_HO: Thank you for the comments..

Thanks

Fitment was great and no floor board banging like some have mentioned. I did the mounts too. I can't get rid of this exhaust leak though. Are there better band clamps I'm not a fan of welding it all together incase I ever need to remove it.

Ya, we dont plan on having any sales to be honest with you. We literally just price them to move.

Thanks
Sean
