Default Where are all the true dual guys at?

Mods are in sig. Looking to make the car sound a little better/more tame at WOT. I'm thinking of getting rid of the Borla muffler, then going straight back from the headers with an X pipe to two single chamber dynomax mufflers. I'm kinda getting sick of the "splatter" sound I get from the Y pipe, at first I liked it now I think it sounds like ****. So any true dual guys have recommendations for me? Thanks in advance!

TSP true duals with Sweet Thunders. That's what I had on my Camaro. There's Nothing better. Unless you throw a pair of Magnaflow 14419's in place of the Sweet Thunders.

TSP true duals with Moroso Spirals here. LOVE them. Mean growl at idle and screams at WOT. No drone at cruising speeds either.

Go with what you posted and don't look back. No Y-pipe setup with ever sound as good as duals. Even if you don't want bullets and go with something like the MagnaFlows or Sweet Thunders it will still sound allot better.

I have catless tsp dual with bullets on my car.

PS. you have no sig

I have the Kooks true dual setup, love it. Crappy cell phone videos, but you get the idea.

Here is me rolling into the gas (3rd gear).

Here are some other idle videos:

Thank you guys for all the responses. My sig should have shown up, I made the post from my cell phone at the time so maybe that is why it didn't show.

I have a 3" E-Cutout on my car right after where the Y pipe merges, would you still do true duals over that?

I would, but then again it's not my money. Always easier to spend other peoples money.

That's the truth though lol, I guess I could just buy another cutout so there are two right next to the collectors on the headers.

Thread resurrection since I'm on the market! :engird:

How "loud" are the Sweet Thunders? I'm looking for a good sound (duh) but not overwhelming to where my girlfriend hates life and/or I can't enjoy music when cruising.

I see the videos, and the reviews, but I can't tell the sound level from a video.

I think they're just loud enough to be noticed but not to the point that they're obnoxious. Now that I'm stalled though, they are noticeably louder to me. It's an awesome loud to me though, can't speak for those riding beside me.

I had a Y pipe with a magnflow catback. Then i switched to a true dual with 3" dynomax bullets dumped on my old Z28. I friggin loved it. Pure bad *** muscle sound. Very loud and mean.

I know have a WS6 with tsp rumbler bullets. I am looking at swapping out these bullets for 1 chamber flowmasters.

Go with a duals setup!!! You will not regret it.

True Duals + Sweet Thunders…. but what length exactly? I feel if I want the one longer than 18", the noise would be more tolerable, no?

Yea I'd assume that the longer the muffler the quieter it would be and probably have more tone to it. As to your question to how long, I'd advise you to crawl under your car with a tape measure and figure out what you could fit under there. I went with the 18 inch cuz that's just the easiest way to go.

Already have my two classic chambered 18" mufflers.

is there a way to use x pipe but only keep it on right side of the driveshaft. Any one make custom x pipes?

Eventually I want to run it out the back due to visual inspection.

I have Magnaflow #11219 4x9 muffler's on my 3" dumped true duals. I'll never again run bullets on a street driven car. With the Magnaflow's the car has a good deep rumble at idle. While cruising around the exhaust is noticeable, but not overbearing. I cruise around with the radio on, windows up or down, I never have to try and talk over the exhaust sounds. I can carry on a conversation with a passenger without raising my voice. Put your foot on the floor then people will hear you coming.

Right now I would almost trade someone straight up for a stock exhaust.....Im probably the first that doesnt like the true duals not because of the sound, I love the wot tone they make its bad to the bone, but daily driving with them sucks and I want to get rid of them so I can stop getting a headache and smelling like exhaust.
