Default Calling all Bolt-on Only Users

This is for driver only using bolt-on items. Things like headers, pulleys, MAF, TB, exhaust, etc. No changes to the long block like heads and cam. I would like to know your RWHP number with these mods. Trying to find the best combo for my 2001 Formula.

Mine only dyno'd at 318rwhp and 350tq but that was through a 3600 stall and 3.73 gears and I run 12.05 @ 113.78mph.

My point here is that the bolt on mods list is pretty much the same but you have to remember that every engine/car is different. There seems to be a special chemistry for each car. I have seen several cars respond to mods differently. It really is somewhat of a trail and error process for each car.

Good luck.

btw my mod list is......160 tstat, UD pulley, maf ends, SLP cold Air, MAFT, FLP LT's without cats, magnaflow muffler, 3.73 gears and a 3600 stall.

You have an A4 too, that changes things too. I have a M6 with my stock rear. I am afraid if I dump it too hard I will break something unlike autos

i think the average for M6's with bolt ons is like 360hp. Thats with headers, pulley, lid and all other small things.

Some guys are getting up around 370-80 with edit tuning

but i let the track do the talking, cause i only showed 277 on the dyno with 3600 stall and headers, but i went 11's NA i must be a damn good driver i guess lol

i just dont like dynos

See #s in the sig. I really need to get some long tubes.

Edit: actually having my signature would help

Most full blown M6 bolt on cars will make 335-350 rwhp depending on the year and tolerance of the motor from the factory...

FWIW, my 98 SS made 351 rwhp. 12.30s/115 mph

Here's a breakdown of the dyno numbers for my M6 2002 Z28.

I am currently at 332.9RWHP & 347.9LB/FT with only a lid, FTRA+K&N, descreened MAF, Loud Mouth.

Next week I am having the following done by ARE, FLP LTs with ORPs, FLP electric cut-out, ported throttle body, 160 thermostat, LS1 Edit tuning. I am shooting for 360-370RWHP. Heads and cam will be next, in the mean time I have my NOS 5177 100HP shot just in case

As you can see from the dyno scans, they are all done at the same place... so you can trust these numbers. For those of you non-metric people, 60 miles = 100 KMs...

With 700KMs and 100% bone stock it made 303.7HP & 329.8LB/FT
http://solo2.abac.com/avigdor/temp/Z28/dyno.jpg

At 1600KMs I added a Loud Mouth cat back and went back to the dyno. The numbers went up to 314.0 RWHP & 334.8LB/FT.
http://solo2.abac.com/avigdor/temp/Z28/dyno-lm.jpg

At 2300KMs I added a Fast Toys ram air, lid and K&N filter. The numbers with these mods where 323.2RWHP 340.5LB/FT.
http://solo2.abac.com/avigdor/temp/Z28/dyno-lm-lid.jpg

I managed to drive another 5000KMs with out any more modifications, until a good deal came up on a NOS 5177 dry kit. In order to
Run this kit I had to descreen the MAF. With 7000KMs I dyno'ed the car again to see if this helped my HP output. It did, I went up to 332.9RWHP & 347.9LB/FT
http://solo2.abac.com/avigdor/temp/Z28/dyno%20NOS.jpg

With the car still on the dyno, now came the fun part of trying the NOS, with a single 100HP jet the numbers jumped up to 419RWHP and get this, 528.2LB/FT!

I am in the 360's. I wish I could make it to the 370 mark. I could run a new flywheel or DS but don't feel like spending the money for 6hp. Mods and dyno #'s are in my sig.
