Bassanni makes a TD over the axle kit, but it isnt 3 inches and its pricey. Probably the tightest fit though. There are some sponsors that also do custom in house TD kits like Speed Inc, but I think for you app the TSP kit they showed you is the best option. Usually can find a used one for sale here too.

I was just under the impression that someone made a direct fit kit with bullet mufflers that dumped before the axle...guess I was wrong.

Thanks man,

EDIt: Checked out your Cardomain page, nice fitment with those pipes and all the aftermarket suspension mods.
Thanks..it's got some work into it..
Yea you won't find a direct fit kit for this on summit.

If you have any questions call TSP (Texas Speed and Performance)
Ya but that's about $200 more than I have in mine.

Merv maybe you can send him the info on how to get that system setup up or let him know what you used. But in the end if he has to take it to a shop then he proably will pay more. But I don't know if he wants to flange it or not also.

I just used some left-overs from my old Y-pipe..I already had the Flanges to slip over the Collectors. I just cut it all and made it line up to where I needed it, then incorporated the X-pipe. Me and a friend welded it up in his driveway.

I got the Hangars from the local Muffler Shop..and after I brought it there to touch up some of the stuff that we couldn't do.

That's pretty much it really..

Thank you guys for all the help. If one of the kits pop up for sale on here then I'll pick it up. If not then I guess I'll just have to by the new kit.

ive read about 17 pages of this, and am way to lazy to read the rest, and since its a CONTINUALLY ongoing thread...

ill ask

how much drone/interior noise do some of you guys experience with LT, no cat dumped before the axle? ill assume everything is rubber mounted, ect.

and another one, on all stock suspension height, how much clearance is lost going under the axle and finishing it off at the rear?

I've got a good amount of interior noise..then again I don't have the back seats in either. I think they would muffle it a little bit.

I'm hoping that the TSP duals will at least have less drone than my existing setup:
Pacesetter Lts, ORY into SLP resonator, all the way back. (I believe it's called "LM1" not sure though, that's what the previous owner said it was.)
Sounds like a motor boat. It is sweet at idle and WOT though...

It's just too loud, raspy, and has a drone I'm guessing that my stall is also to blame for this as my RPMs need to be up to get going.

Would the "sweet thunders" be the way to go on the TSP kit? Or should I use one of the other two choices?

Well I can tell you from experience with the TSP dual system you won't have no where near as much rasp or drone (if any at all) then you have with the LM. I say quit asking and go with what you like or what you would like to hear. But if your wanting the loudest then you need to go with the dynomax bullets. I mean you going to have great flow with any one of them that you pick.

Will this system: http://www.texas-speed.com/SHOP/item...d=196&catid=56 work with factory torque arm (and future mod of UMI torque arm and relocation brackets?)

Thanks

yes it fits the stock torque arm. Midwest Chassis and UMI both sell torque arms that work with the TSP TD"s. if fact i'm going with MWC next year so I can post pics when done.

How much did it cost you to build this setup using stainless steel pipe minus the headers?

I picked up a 2001 WS6 this week.

The setup is as follows:

-Edelbrock Stepped 1 3/4- 1 7/8 headers
-Texas Speed true duals dumped before the axles with powersticks by torque tech
-Texas Speed T2 Cam

It's also lowered with -Hotchkis Lowering Springs

I love the sound, but being in SoCal, I'm sure most cops aren't going to be so enamored with the noise.

So my questions is, are there any mufflers that will significantly decrease the volume and also not lose much power? This while keeping the true dual setup.
Or any that will make it very quite, but if I lose significant power I could do electric cutouts?
