Sorry dude, but I don't worship at the feet of you internet heroes that run 11's with just a lid and drag radials.

That being said, I am fully aware that a "big" cam does not always outrun the smaller cam. All else being equal, it usually will.

people who've never even raced at the track shouldn't talk about their car outrunning built cars "from a roll" and offer nothing to back it up except, "it feels faster".
My car gets spanked by as many as it beats. But I don't race on the street for 3 seconds with no traction then tell the internet *** kissers that suck the dicks of the high post count guys I outran a supercharged viper. That is ricer talk.

Well we installed a Paul Bunyan cam in my buddies otherwise bone stock 02 SS. 450rwhp ain't bad for cam only huh? Check out the dyno sheet, you can't imagine the power in that 1,000rpm power band. WOW.

well I'm and old school hotrodder been messing with SBC from 1976 till present. and with those old cars a huge cam was a PITA ran great from 3500-7000rpm but were pigs at speeds within our limits on the street - ALOT has changed since then. Its hard to imagine that .600lift plus cams can be made driveable on a daily basis. A buddy of mine has a pair of beasts a 99 firehawk 383 that made 550 rwhp that he roadraced - LOUD (minimal exhaust) and was a PITA to drive mostly due to the clutch. and a 02 z06 thats H/C to 475 rwhp - quiet, nasty rumble but alot more civil on the road - my 99 hawk is basically stock other than a lid and a shifter its my DD and I'm fine with that, I am building a ls6 thats H/C with a baby-old reliable TR 224 im looking for 400-425rwhp fora 69 T/A clone that i will run some road courses and do PowerTour in,I think its alot of ego maybe thats why they call them Donkey Dicks - AKA mine is bigger than yours - a DICK thing - so I have a small dick? - whip yours out and see who is faster, its all about the total compliment of all parts-under the curve. Remember the sales marketing out there- "Mega Stick" "Polluter" "GX5ws6z28" what ever name of cam the mfr puts on it, selling hotrod parts is still a buisness. put whatever YOU want in YOUR car and enjoy it if the little cam guys beat the Donkeys - just shows its not all 1 thing, its a properly matched package that makes one better than the others. my .02c

This internet pissing match is slowing down. You know there are some bigass cammed beasts out there. I know there are small cammed monsters out there as well.
I like lumpy, high winding, narrow powerband race cars. I also like blown big-block torque monsters. They can both be very fast if the combo is right. Pick whatever style puts the biggest smile on yer face.

Chris 1313 knows your car will be slow. You fucked up with that MS4, it's bigger than 228/.580.![Rolleyes](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/rolleyes.gif)

I tend to be wary of those that are half a second faster than every other car with the same mods. Drag racers notoriously lie about their motors. Everyone is "all stock except this one little thing".

if it is an all out drag car that is a different story, throw in the polluter/ms4...it is just a matter of opinions
