Default 231/239 112lsa cam, anyone got one or similar size?

As tittle says just wondering if anyone has a 231/239 112lsa cam or around similar grinds?

looking at a grind around this area for my ls1, weekend car and maybe the odd week day here and there, no track work, although might see the odd track day every once in a while, like maybe once a year or two if that.

will be freshening up the bottom keeping standard stroke and doing the heads with probably get a 2800 stall, and 3.46 gears not long after, was going smaller cam but had a change of mind and going to freshen it up over winter and go bigger.

Just want to see if anyone has this and what they think of it or similar grinds.
was looking at the comp cams one.

thanks in advance.

Hello , how goes it today ? Have You read the stickies at the beginning of this (gen 3 internal engine ) forum . The 3rd and 5th ones have all kinds of good info to help make cam choices better informed . the 3rd 1 has a bunch of different parts like making tons of tq and 100hp per liter n/a and making 700hp n/a . the tons of tq 1 the person had a 232 , 238 or something close and had no bottom end so he changed to a 210 , 218 with crazy lift like .632 and 110 lsa and is very happy with the results . Good luck

ausls1, i have a similar cam but one step down form the one you want. just installed a LSR cam speced at 227/235 .617/.621 113 LSA. mine was just installed on sunday, and it has perfect street mannors, and it is still untunned. i love. after i get it tunned next week i will give you and update and lou know how i like it. i have 3.42 gears and a 6 speed. so i think that cam will be good for you, i have no sewing machine noise either cause the LSL lobes for the LSR cams use a soft seat and high ramp lobes. love them.

check out my build page

My wife's car had a 231/237 112 in it for a while. It was daily driven and sounded great. Made 392rwhp through her 6 speed with full bolt ons. I just recently pulled it out and am now going with an EPS 227/230.

Had a buddy with a T/A and TSP's 233/239 114lsa and made 403hp with a six speed. was a little sluggish at the bottom with his six speed but with a 2800 stall youll be good to go. Good luck

Your bad luck streak is over with breaking parts hopefully!

yeh read some of the stickies at the start of the internal thread.
yeh iv got a 218/224 114 lsa cam at home at the moment that i haven't fitted but have decided to do bottom end, heads, lifters, etc, so going bigger, plus it has small lift .523 and . 536 which apparently will be a waist of time doing heads etc, on a 2002 5.7 ls1, but with a bigger cam then will be worth it.

oh ok, thanks everyone, are most of those figures with head work as well, either way some healthy figures, yeh seem to be able to get away with the bigger cams with a stall.

sounds like a good cam then, had the comp 228/230 on a 112 in mind before this one but this one sounds good.

Trans am7935 i like this sounds like a winner from what you've mentioned about yours, please let me know how it goes, would love to find out.
there's one going in an ls2 this week at a tuner near me, i'm interested ti see how that goes too.
