Went to install my 241 heads and 224r cam last night and found a few problems and needless to say my shortblock will being rebuilt. going back mainly stock with exception of a better piston. But my questions are on a new heads/cam setup. I will be running a 100-125 wet nitrous plate setup as well. One is the trickflow and vengeance racing setup and the other is a texas speed setup.
Which would be better for my application.
This Vengeance kit:

with the following cam.
VRX6 Camshaft 238/240 .605/.609 112 LSA
Or this Texas Speed kit with the MS4 cam?

On the Vengeance kit I don't need the gaskets and bolts or the rockers so I can work with the price on that one. The heads seem to flow very similar. I am just wanting the best for my application. Car will not be daily driven.

What are your goals for the car? I just put a motor in a car, stock LQ4 long block with TFS 215 heads and a Comp XER287HR (54-448-11, same specs as VRX6 cam) and its a nice combo, real choppy idle and pulls clean past 7K rpm. I like the way it runs and I'd use it for a small shot like you said but it may be more than you need for your goals.

My goals are to make the most power with a stock bottom end thats been rebuilt with arp rod bolts and forged pistons with heads, cam and a fast 102 intake eventually. Car will not be daily driven and will have 3.73 rear gears for now and has 315's on it.

If you are looking for maximum performance and you have your bottom end already built, you will need better flowing heads (Trick Flow 215, AFR 215, PRC 215). If you are on a budget, go for PRC LS6 stage 2.5 and mill them to 59cc with 0.040 head gasket and MS4 or Tsunami cam (if your forged pistons have valve reliefs to clear that cam with milled heads). With the FAST 102, 1 7/8" headers, 96 TB, 42 injectors, and good flowing exhaust system, I think you will be close to 475rwhp.
Good luck with your build.

Yes, the TFS 220 have similar flow numbers to the PRC LS6 stage 2.5 and if you have future plans for CNC porting them, they will be a better choice but I prefer the Vindicator cam over the VRX6.

Yea the Vindicator is definitely another option. I would love to be close to 500rwhp and mid 11's if possible. I am thinking a 100-125 wet shot would be nice as well. Waiting to hear back from the vendors as well.
