Shifting at 7000 RPM 1-2 shift 7300 2-3 shift WHAT LIFTERS?
Setup is as folllows
348 bored 20 over
Forged Rods & pistons stock crank
TFS 215 heads 58cc
TFS Springs that come on TFS 215 heads
Yella Terra Rockers
FAST Ported 102/102
KOOKS 1 7/8th headers 3 1/2 collectors
4L65E stage 4 trans
SS4000
I am shifting at 7000 RPM on my 1-2 shift & 7300 on my 2-3 shift. So I am spinning it pretty high. I want to get a solid Valvetrain to take the high RPM.
I have read the Comp Lifters are good. But the Morals are the best. Any experience on shifting this high on this setup & your valvetrain & what lifters you use

I have Morel lifters under Manton 11/32 Series 5 pushrods (.120 wall) with Jesel shaft mount rockers over Comp 921 springs (TFS 215 heads). I have no valve float up to 7,100 rpm but I have not tested above that nor do I shift above 6,800 very often.
Also, FYI the Comp R lifters require an ajustable rocker given their very narrow preload tolerance.

I run the caddy race lifters in mine shifting at 7200 but I find they are noisy since I swapped to the K-800 springs. The clicking is especially noticeable at the top end of the track while decelerating. The new springs are likely collapsing the lifters due to the 470# open pressure because they were quiet with the old PRC springs. I have a set of Morel's that I will be swapping in before I run the car again.
If you are looking for the best hydraulic lifter I would suggest you spend the money once and get the Morels.
