Stock rockers / 630 lift
Aloha gang
Wondering how long my stock rockers can last with my cam. I know the stockers are strong, mine have about 500 miles on them and have the trunion upgrade.
I installed this cam, 235/245 630 lift 113 lsa, redline 7000rpm. also have all the supporting stuff chain, spring, lifters, pump etc...
Thanks for any suggestions

Sweet. I had some brand new rockers shipped to me when i was installing my cam kit. Did the trunion upgrade and put them on. I like the GM rockers because there light and strong, and my redline is 7000rpm. But some dude kept swearing my rockers would get chewed up quik. I called BS, but figured wouldn't hurt to ask for some other real world results. I don't mind if there a little louder than aftermarket rollers.

What lobe are you running on a street car that needs well over 400#? I'm running a pretty big lobe with just under 380# and my valve train is controlled to the 7,000 rpm limiter

400# is the most I hear you want to try to stay under. I'm running 450# (PRC springs) and I have talked to a few different shops that say no worries.
The amount of rocker failures is so small in comparison of the builds they have done (16 per build) that it isn't a concern for me.
I will do the truunion upgrade in a few months for safe measure but I'm not concerned.
