Granted I was doing weak *** baby burn outs back then instead of the John Force burnouts you see in my avatar now lol.

Interesting. I'll look into those.

There looks like there's no tread at all. Will be fun if any rain catches me...

You need a S60 and a set of M/T stiff wall 28x10.50 slicks. Now go run some 10's and make Ed proud.

Nah. Waiting for my cam to get here. lol

Wish I were waiting on the 370 as well. But oh well. Guess I need to find a flycutting tool and goto town. I've called around town looking for a machine shop to mill my heads, but I don't want to, cuz 62cc would be perfect for a 370

I have been looking at some Billet Specialties Street Lites. I don't know if I like them, but they are lightweight and cheap.

17x9.5 w/7" BS
17x11 w/7.75" BS (cheap enough I could swap them when I do the S60, since I'll narrow it)
315/35-17 MT ET Street Radials II (or the NT05R... it's not a daily but it sees the street and rain... because it rains every single day here from April to October - like giant thunderstorms that drop an inch in an hour or more).

Jegs Stars II... Just a thought. MEGA MAN cheap, sturdy enough for DD, and fit the bill.

I still have my eye on Weld RT-S... But I have yet to see a polished set of 17s. I've seen a couple of teaser pics and don't know if I like them. So not willing to drop $2k on something I haven't actually seen. I've seen 17s, but it's always in that stupid black center crap. Which would be fine, but they are polished on the edge. Not sinister enough on a black car.

Btw, just ordered an LT1 radiator. Nothing wrong with the stock one but might as well get a little better cooling while the radiator is out.

Also looking at the Baer Track 4 brake kit. Uses stock LS1 pads and is a 4-piston caliper w/ 13" rotors. The Weld wheels would clear it and maybe the BS Street Lites would.

I wouldn't sweat wheel finishes, they can be changed relatively cheap. It doesn't matter what finish you want, short of actual chrome plating. if you want all black, red, gold, black chrome, or all polished, it can be done reasonably. My Fiske's cost me $480 to re-finish.

I'd rather do polished on a black car. That's easy enough to change.

What I like about the BS Street Lites is its a brushed/polished finish, which I would do on Fikse.

So I ordered a Spectra/Cooling Depot LT1 radiator from Summit. It arrived today. It was built in Canada, which is why I ordered it over some of the other brands. It's noticeable thicker than stock:

But it had this, which the stock radiator didn't have. It seems like it wasn't damaged. Just cast this way. Does this look right?

Jake,

That's a mfg screw up. You should return it for an exchange.

That's common on aftermarket radiators. I see that a lot at work. I have no idea why though. My only idea is it's there to prevent expansion when it warms up. Other than that

That's what I was afraid of.

I emailed Spectra to get their take as well. I guess I can send a note to Summit to see if I can exchange it.

I don't think it would leak, but the fins look a little rough below it.

Don't let summit charge you for restocking and shipping back to them. They tried to pull that on me before for a botched part. Here's my LT1 radiator for reference.

Yeah that notch isn't supposed to be there in the upper support. I'd be afraid of it springing a leak down the road.

Yes. Plastic sides. I wasn't going to swap the radiator after looking at my stock one. Still looks really good.

But while it was out, I decided to do the "LT1" since it's a little beefier.

It's not a BeCool or Griffin. But I can't justify spending anymore right now, but did want to help out with cooling anyway I could.

It should last me 2-3 years without much trouble. Then I might invest in something better.

Good choice and kudos for "money in the pocket". A true LT1 radiator is hard to beat. Hell, my stock LS1 radiator with plastic sides went 139k before tapping out. I have NO qualms with the plastic sided LT1 radiator I replaced it with.

Jake, just spring for new O2 sensors if you can. I just sprung my first P0135 today... Car ran in absolute "limp-dick-I-suck-at-life" mode after that.
